Help finding/fabricating a fitting....

I’m just trying to find a short fitting so I can side-saddle one of my phantoms

I literally have everything I need except the air fitting. I had purchased one that has the “nut”, but it keep the lever changer way too far from the body of the marker.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction (or potentially machine an air fitting for me).

I'm looking for a 1/2" long 1/8" NPT Male to Male union with no nut between the ends. I've searches the deepest, darkest corners of the internet and can't find something like this anywhere in a small size like this.

Essentially, I am looking for piece of threaded hollow rod, preferably brass, but I'm not picky at this point. I'd prefer a taper, but again, not picky...I'll use some hydraulic thread sealant if it needs some help.

Could someone please point me to a website or someone who can help?

This is exactly what I’ve been trying to find. I’ve been to every hardware store I could find with no luck and have been searching online for 4 months.

Tried the hardware store? I'm pretty sure thats where I got my version of what you're looking for.

I have had that issue before ...
Get a fitting of whatever length you can find and run a die on the end ... It will shorten it a bit and you keep the taper.

Or take a fitting with the hex and run it on the lather to knock the hex out (and same as above, you can shorten it as desired with a die.

I didn’t even consider the “length” for the taper!!

That could explain why I’m having so much trouble. I’ll have to go to 1/8” NPS

I picked up some aluminum like that for a project awhile ago. I think it was off of mcmcaster.

What about these:

They are 3/4" long though.

The problem is that taper threads need a certain length to them so finding one out of standard may be tough.
