    Morlock board on a mini

So i found a broken mini and it is the board that was bad. Well if it was not bad when i bent the pins that sure made it bad. I am planning on changing the board over to a Morlock cutting the back for the screen. with the mini i know that i am going to have to actuate the solenoid 2 times one for the start of the shoot and the one to end the shoot. I think that the trigger is high to low. I have some stuff figured out and can share if wanted. I am trying to figure out some of the wiring and whether i need a cap in it or not. Has anyone here changed a mini to a morlock? If not is there anyone that has installed a morlock board on their marker and can they give me any inside information? I would prefer to share the info via google docs so i will need to share with private messages.

Do you have a Morlock yet? I only ask because they're backordered currently, so it might be quicker to get a stock board if you want to use your Mini soon.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

I already have the morlock, the battery that came with is a little wide so i will have to get a new one there and if i need a cap first off i have the cap off the broken mini board or i am sure i can find one for that.

Are you planning on removing the eye and trigger board, or wiring into them?

The trigger switch is the oddball
I used to have access to the header pins that mates the boards.

I have a remote ribbon cable somewhere. that allowed me to mount the battery in a remote location. My goal at that time was to make a mini into q tank turret. Having the battery be the left grip, and the trigger frame be the right, but I quickly lost interest.

My plan is to use the Optimus 1.1 board and since it has the eyes attached use that as well. I am running into issues with power as the optimus requires 9 volts and the rechargeable LiPO uses 3.7 volts, and that is all that comes through the morlock i think i can maybe use the boost voltage for the solenoid and that may be able to get me the 9 volts that i need. Just not sure on that. plus the wiring is giving me issues.

The morlock can run on 9v. Just set it up as a 9v board for this project and thatll solve a chunk of your issues.

But but i wanna charge . Well that makes sense do you happen to know if it would work off dual power? Have the 3.7v for regular operation and 9 volt to provide the rail?

No... if I read the manual correctly, it can only use one power supply.

I dont think so, as an internal voltage booster is used for the lipo from what I researched. I assume there are shared connections that would nullify the ability to do dual power.

@Kurt is a member on here so he would be a much better resource for that question.

I vaguely remember that minis and axes have an odd double pulse to the solenoid to fire the gun.... Not sure a morlock would be suitable

You can use all three supplies simultaneously. sort of. They are all diode locked-out so whichever has the highest voltage is used automatically with no cross-talk. In other words it is perfectly normal and safe to have the LiPo plugged in, the USB supply connected and an 18v DC supply all running at the same time.
