It does cock fully by the way. Despite the nut location, the front of my pump rod is flush with the back of the slide, so it gets full contact and travel

Yeah, roll is a good word for it. I’m planning to pickup some of those anti-scuff felt furniture dots. I think if I glue one to each side it should ride centered without slaying my ano. And to think I had a single rod pump kit I sold last year...

Upon further testing of the ROLL - it seems during play... the 'snap back' of the slide would reset the sights perfectly centered so this will be usable anyway...

But the non-uc roll is disgusting and must be eliminated. Thanks for notifying me!!!

Fuck I should have checked the non-uc user kit before shipping it ~ lessons learned

Theoretically you could mod some alignment shims in yourself if you're impatient - but I will have to update the non-uc user slidess.

I don't have the proper front bolt for a nonuc setup.. but don't need it to do this adjustment and quickie tsting then that issue should be done and dusted

Okay I get what you mean by side-to-side play... I thought you meant my tolerances were bad... but you mean the ROLL due to lack of UC kit... okay I can fix that for non-uc users with a slide-alteration I think no biggie.

Thank you for the detailed post! Data acquired!

-the REARNUT boggles my mind... I must assume your back-adapter is slightly different than a stock phantom back adapter (or as you say the pump rod itself) as I can see it protrudes out a lot more... at least the 'adjustable' mounting seems to do the trick still right? (it cocks fully right?) I included 2 nuts in the package so you should have 3 nuts total, theoretically you could put the 3rd nut on there it looks like it'd fit in the rear position to fill that gap

-Okay I need to actually check alignment for non-undermount kit users rather than just cross my fingers and hope it works lol... I believe fabricating a custom undermount-kit just like the rear slide lock should be a trivial matter if necessary.... Side to side tolerance is as tight as I can make it (if I didn't accidentaly send an earlier proto) without causing friction soooo imma have to figure somethign out... perhaps phase out the non-uc line and do the custom uc kits. Cause with the UC kit it sits perfectly for me. I don't wanna undercut CCI on UC kits but they phased em out so I guess it's fair game xD I feel like once you go uc kit on a phantom you don't wanna go back so if my testing fails I'll just phase non-uc out and go down' the self-fab line.

    -Aesthetic notch symmettry!!!!!!!

-pushpin cover plate too tall to fit neatly without alteration (can snip the 1mm little notchtab off to DIY fix)

Got my list of things to do over the weekend Cheers

Thanks man, the top half of this ano has been living in my Dukie lever Walz stock, so it’s about time the bottom half had its day

Decided on a fresh post here, cause why the hell not.

Let’s start with the good. This thing looks great! Super easy install. Cool as hell and fun change to a phantom single shot setup. The barrel fitment is spot on with my 6”, both lengthwise and dare I say girthwise. Pump stroke is smooth, clears the hardline with ease, and the slide lock is a fun touch. The fiber optics are well integrated, and the push pin holds the hardware cover well.

Now for the constructive. The forward slide lock notch is deeper than the rear. It’s sufficient to catch, but looks like either the notch should be shallower to match the rear, or the catch tab should be longer and rear notch deeper.

The install video makes a big deal about the rear pump rod nut being as far back as possible, but if I do this the slide does not mount properly. Maybe I have a rod that is slightly out of spec, but in order to have the slide match the slide lock, and the two nuts to match the print, my rear nut has to be slightly forward.

The push pin holds the cover plate well, but the rear portion flies away from the slide slightly.

Lastly, there is a lot of side to side play in the slide. While I appreciate a certain degree of slop to eliminate friction on the body, it’s not without its problems. E.g. my slide mounts partially slanted to the right. This puts your beautiful fiber optic job slightly off target. If you look close at this picture of the breech the slant is apparent.

Over all I’m pleased with my purchase (that pre-order box came STACKED) and have no doubt you can work out the kinks. Thank you! And speaking of kinks, Eva says thank you too.

Mine is mounted up, but I don’t have a pump return spring, so I’m waiting for that to arrive before testing. I’ve got a few initial thoughts which I’ll edit in later tonight when I have more time

I been working like crazy so I haven’t had a chance to install mine yet. But I’m on vacation all next week I will get a shooting review posted some time this week. Arctic got his installed and seems to be very happy with it. Print looks great.

Alrighty so some people should have gotten em by now and tried em out (though undermount kit users might have to disassemble to install sorry!). So lemme know.

What do you love, what do you hate, what would you change, if the installations instructions suck, etc.

    Immediate future plans :
    • Quickly and cheaply make a quick-detach copy of the default pump handle, so undermount users can swap back without having to disassemble the marker. Convenience should be #1 if ya feel today's not the day for juan deagin' then it should be a quick swap back.
    • Get feeeeeedback on use.

You gotta call them Trruck slides though if you put them on the Trracer. We'll, you don't have to, but we'll...you know

Mmmm very nice, love the pics! That silver makes me want a silver marker in my life. Aight so Chaos is the guy to go to if you want modded slides xD

BTW : Pre-orders have just gone out - if you have no tracking - its probably going out tomorrow. Chaos got some prototypess early, but pre-orders are all final versions (tolerance difrences) :P
Working...
