I pretty certain I figured out what happened. Bowden tube and wiring harness for the gantry was drooping down and got caught up . Some cable management & auto home and I think it's good

I've printed this file at least a half dozen times. I wonder.

The only time I've actually had this happen, was when my model exceeded the bounds and I did not realize it. Typically its on my X-axis, as the stepper motor hanging off the side of the extruder bangs into the vertical frame, then the entire positioning is off.

My first layer shift.
Fairly new to 3d printing, only had my Ender 5 for 6 months now. Never had any issues other than the normal teething especially when learning petg.
Never experienced the layer shift before. Had a good first layer so I walked away for a little bit. Fell asleep on the couch and I woke up to some odd noises coming from the office. Went to check it out seems the later shifted quarter inch or so to the back of the build plate and it sounded like the steppers we're hitting end stops & making. horrible noises.
Just looking for something to put on what you guys do in the situation. Could it be considered a fluke kind of thing or is it possible to G-Code on the SD card got corrupted? Should I just try the same file again or re slice it?
Does anybody keep copies of all the g code on your SD cards in a folder so if it was to get corrupted you just overwrite?
