    Phantom Weight Reduction

Everyone always complains about the Phantom being way too heavy. I decided to play around with my printer and see if I could fix that. 😋

I just did this for fun. The purple filament printed horrible. However, the grip frame and pump are incredible comfortable. I am happy with everything except the stock. I need to make that twice as long, lol. Let me know what you think.

    I LIKE IT.

What infill you got going? I can see those shapes looking pretty slick in a Woodfill or Carbon Fiber PLA but you'd want to go 100% infill in those for strength.

    Classic Joker vibes as-is though.

As someone who DOES complain about the weight of a Phantom…I approve!

I like my pistols HEAVY, but my markers with stocks or tanks ULTRALIGHT!

Looks good! Maybe use a piece of thin walled aluminum tubing for the stock horizontal member. Print the shouldering piece and the connector to the frame. Epoxy it all together and you should have a pretty light weight stock with plenty of length.

Everything is 50% infill right now, except the rod in stock that is 100. I think I'm going to reprint with petg at 100 for the pump handle for more weight to the pump.

I printed a similar wood pump handle for my sniper a while ago.

Did you get to use the phantom at Roach's event at OSG? I saw the giant rain cover but with getting stuff fixed and setup in between games I didn't get to wander the tables.

I didn't use this Phantom, I brought it and had it out on the table, several people checked it out. I planned on it, but I was barely holding my own with my constant air setup and 45 degree stick feed, I didn't think further slowing me down with 12 gram and horizontal feed was smart. haha.

I hear ya. Hopefully you had a good time at Roach's event and we'll get to see that Phantom in action this September.

I had a BLAST! It really was great, and I can't wait to go back. It was a shock playing with such skilled players. I have a really great strategy to even the playing field for next time though...CHEAT(j/k)!
