    Nelspot Grips

I borrowed a Nelspot from a user a while ago - bout time I started working on it. It's a nice piece! Gold trigger. You know who you are Looking for mod ideas (in general).

Specifically for this thread tho : I am doing grips. Grips could use a re-fresh, ya'll got dirty grips.

I spent a full ass work day pretty much just spec'ing in just the dang template lol since I don't have CAD files we're going by feel on this one. Then I decided, I'd prefer to free-form polygonal model it (ala Blender style) unlike my other projects. The only other polygonal project I've done was the havoc grip. Grips are hard to make in Fusion. Someone make a tutorial lol.

I am remodeling the grips that came with this loaner (in my own style), they're like lite-sportsman grips, if you have another idea for a specific grip please post pics or reference.
    • 2 panel grips
    • enlarged 1 piece grip
Looks like ass for now but it's just a base.

Edit : Added 'curve' shape still ugly. Added inside cutouts. Gotta fix ugly outsides still

edit pic 5 : taken under harsh lighting to show surface faults. Dang modeling these subtle surfaces is annoying lol. This is essentially the shape of the 'lame side', the vanilla side, as the 'thumb side' will have the more pronounced features like thumb rest. Should be bout time for a test-print soon.

update 6 : smoothed out most of the ugly, now this should be a nice base to go off from.

Update 7 : Vertical Print test (just a test if my printer won't crash into it and fail the print). 2h

Update 8 : Test print very sexsessful - will post updates after further progress.

Update 9 : Okay LAST 3d CGI render tease, now I can finally stop calling it ugly and now drool at it sexy. I am printing a full 2 half set of symmetrical grips to demo and that will be the next post :P

So glad you're working on this. I'd personally like to see a symmetrical set with no thumb rest. I run mine with a back bottle adapter, so the inside never sees a 12g.

      Thank you for the input!

I honestly so regret calling this the 'lame side' after looking at the prototype, symmetrical grips are the way to go.

I think I am 100% complete those right now, however as always 100% is never good enough for this shit I need like 150% - 200% to be satisfied, but hopefully not this time.

In the meanwhile I'mma take a stab at a thumbrest side, if this is a good base for me, then I should probably work off of it and make some variations. Donno, we'll see.

Looks like I gotta take the rest of the week to chill and just pump out tweaked protos until I hit one that I really like.
        • want to elevate the right grip as shown in the pic, to hide screws better... and for aiming support 1 handed. but not now I just want to get this dialed in.
        • added chamfer on left grips

^^ Imma keep the grips symmetrical, the budge is not noticably comfier - I tested.

Gonna try a pump handle test fit now..

First pump handle prototype - I lack creativity on this one and just copied the stock one lol. But I want to add a little something to it once I get the dimensions printing properly as this currently is way too tight.

Calling this project done for now. Might do more nelspot stuff or might more on to other markers not sure yet.

              Can't stop dry pumping it!!! : https://youtu.be/a9GqvX4nUbY

Were you thinking of doing the Battlegrips? I tried my hand at it for awhile, and stalled out.

I will if I get some interest in basic mods else I've got other markers to work on Buy hell, might as well while I'm at it.

I try to price these cheaply.

I totally missed this thread... nice looking Nelspot, lol. I really like the symmetrical grips. Nice and clean. The gradient pump handle you showed in one of the other threads looks fantastic too. I can’t wait to see what else you come up with!

I just remembered, you can take the barrel sleeve off of that Nelspot. I made sure off it before I sent it along. A loudener that slips on would be great! Not sure what the market for things look like, but I would think a loudener, barrel extension, muzzle brake, and “raincover” would be quick to design and offer.
