    What is your setup to print TPU?

    I have an ender 5 and wiuld like to try to make some TPU parts.

    Whats your setup to print TPU?

    Do I need to be direct drive or use a SeeMeCNC ERZ extruder with the curent bowden tube design?

    Anyone use stock ender 5 or ender 3 for TPU?

    Last question, to make reg seat and face seal any recommendation in Duro hardness for filament?

    I've printed TPU with a stock Ender 5. Just have to turn off retraction and slow everything way down. I've only successfully done a couple smaller models in the soft ninja flex but I did have a couple ball ups in the extruder.

      I'll screenshot my TPU settings later. I didn't need to do any upgrades to my filament feed train in order to print TPU. It's an I3 style printer (i.e. Ender 3, prusa is, etc...)

        Mine is an i3 also, direct extruder (on a creality coated glass bed for ninja flex) I use Prusa 98A on 12 gram valve seals and softer ninja flex on lower pressure seals, or on captive, static 12 gram uses. I use some retraction. I limit the total volume extrusion. I still need to bring up the bridge travel speed on ninja flex. The 98A is mostly stock Prusa settings. 98A makes good bucket changer seals and poppets. Ninja flex is around 70 duro and is handy for squishy things.

        The soft stuff is supposed to be difficult for Bowdens, since it compresses a lot and drags in the tube.

          Good idea Rainmaker. With retraction turned off on 98a these speeds work for me.

            I print it at 30, but first layer at 10 (or lower) ...
            But I did print a new guide plate with filament support all the way to the wheels.

            All this on my ender 3

              Ideamaker print settings are split up into multiple category tabs, so it's not as easy to take screenshots as i thought.

              So, here's my basic settings:
              Material: SainSmart TPU (black or green)
              Temp: 215 and 60
              Fan: 10% at layer 3 and up
              Speed: 15 mm/s for absolutely everything
              Flowrate: 101%
              Retraction: ON , 55 mm/s, 2mm
              Coasting: ON, 0.6mm
              WipeWall: this is an anti-ooze feature on Ideamaker, i have it set to ON, with default settings
              Print bed surface: PEI sheet on glass

                Went to the 95A setting in Cura and printed. Worked both on my Monoprice Minis and my Ender 3. No changes.

                  Using a bmg or titan clone extruder with the key part being a well made little insert that snugs right up against the wheels/gears has made life so much easier for me. Only really tried them on DDE set ups. Im eager to start messing with my LGX and LGX lite extruders I just got.

                    Thanks all for your advice, I was able to print some VM68 ball detent and speedfeed in TPU on the 2nd print!
