Took it outside today, 3D printed bolt and barrel, Might as well kill two birds with one stone.....

1st Pod went off with out a hitch, about 1/3 through the 2nd pod it started not cocking. So I pulled off the hopper and cycled it, manually cocked it and then blew out about 3 paintballs at once and broke a ball in the barrel. Then I realized the cocking rod had partially unscrewed and proceeded to shoot off the rest of the pod without a hitch.

Looks like a little egging out of the hole from the pin pulling

.682 insert in the barrel, probably serious underbore.

When somebody gets me some dimensions, I'll be printing up this Shocker bolt tip:

I would love to know more about this. Backstory of the design, purpose, benefits, etc.

Shocktech bolts were really popular... fast-forward to the age of 3D printers, a little copy and paste, tweak the design to fit... ta-da!

That definitely checks out in the logic department. Looks great!

I've been working with Rainmaker to get some parts printed for the Shocker Sport. I thought a spare bolt would be great, and have always liked the look of Shocktech's bolts. So, I suggested that he incorporate something similar and he took off with the idea. There ya have it.

Here it be! Ready to test fit at least, I'm curious how it will do.

With the weather cooling here, I'll be getting out a lot more. At least one Shocker follows me to the field, so testing won't be an issue.

This seems like it would work out well with an SLA print, your geometries could be pretty complex with that too, probably more so than FDM.
