Talk me out of (or into?) printing Nylon

Alright, I've got an (albeit somewhat small) bug in my bonnet to try printing in Nylon.

I KNOW it has intense moisture absorption concerns
I KNOW it has bed adhesion concerns
But I can't help wanting to try it.

Anyone with good or bad experiences with Nylon? And settings? Brands?

Lol, I have an unopened roll of Taulman 910 that I've been waiting years to have a specific print before I open it. I'll be interested to hear as well. Between flex and abs, I still use glue and glass on that printer anyway.

I printed some v blocks for my drill press that I might like in nylon.

You know it already, but it's all you need to know.

Dehydrate the hell out of it every time before you print with it.

Warping? Stringing? Adhesion? Delaminating? Porosity? Oozing? Inaccurate dimensions? All solved by dehydrating.

I stick nylon in the dehydrator for at least 12h. I've been advocating this for years (for all filaments, but nylon especially) and it blows my mind how often it's ignored. Doesn't matter how you store it. Forget about dessicant, nylon will suck the moisture right out of silica packs. I also print everything on purple gluestick and glass. Rejuvenate the surface with a spraybottle of 99% isopropyl (must be 99%) and you don't have to reapply new glue for at least half a dozen prints.

Once the print is done, the part will reabsorb moisture and regain its full strength - give it a soak in water to speed that up. Print dry; strong wet.

Did you have some dehydrator settings posted previously?

I had not. Leave it in longer at lower temp, but most home-grade dehydrators top out at 165 or 170f anyway. The TG temp of most filaments is still higher but then the spool will start to warp, trapping or bonding to the filament.

Yeah I have been dragging my feet on the dehydrator, but I figure it's coming.

I've got a food dehydrator that I'm thinking of converting.

That's what I did, just printed sides for it ...
Also, thinking about putting a"turn table" thingy inside so I can keep it running and pull the filament from the inside while printing ...

That's the model I have, there is 3D printed side design on thingiverse so you don't have to cut the trays ...
              it works great

Thanks! I was wondering if I would have to design my own.
