Looking to help my nephew out.
He's looking for a 3d printed cupholder to fit in the center consol cubby of an 82 Tran Am. Thoughts?

I do have some measurements and can get more as needed.

No 3d printer available for me, but that looks like it would take a LOT of filament and need a rather large bed. Could get expensive.

Now my area of expertise is CNC routing, mostly wood and cabinet stock like MDF and particle board, but also plastics. I can dig out a scrap chunk of 1/4" plastic (good stuff, nifty textured finish on the top) and have the simple diagram you have cut out in about a minute. It would just be a flat sheet with two holes in it, but I don't know, epoxy some plastic cups or chunks of PVC to the bottom and you'd be set to go. You'd probably want to hand sand the corners to match the radiused sided of the center console.

Or, if I had a few more dimensions...



...basically every unlabeled line and the radiuses, I'd be able to carve out some thicker 3/4" plastic (shiny finish to it, tends to gather scratches, look it's scrap, you get what you get) to fit snuggly into the opening, and maybe stack some layers together to hold the drinks.

Alternatively, if you can get a perfectly square photo from directly above, no angle at all, and double check the two provided dimensions, one could get the other dimensions off the photo and scale them mathematically.

...these are some pool cover guides I made for my brother-in-law. He actually bought some high quality delrin for these. Most of the free scrap I got is HDPE, good in most cases, not as chlorine resistant as he wanted though.

He will need to use a filament material that will resist the heat of the interior of a car in the summer. Not am expert but this chart show some option available.

Late to the party. Is that console where your elbow rests? Might want round edges on top at least.

It's rare that I can hit a good fit in one pass, more when there are multiple parts. For smaller printers, you could make a two piece, split between cups. That would need side dimensions from that hinge cut out.

It can be done with a print, just needs some high temp filament (ASA) and iterations.

If it is right at your elbow, some of Fubarius' MDF with some vinyl covered foam might be nice. That black closed cell foam insulation (armorflex?) is really durable when covered. I've used it in chair seats for years. Separate cup liners (bought or printed) would spare you from learning to trim fabric edges around small circles.

We were a bit busier then expected at work last week. Hopefully I'll have time to sketch something up this week using the above grommets as a shortcut.

So here's a quick sketch of an idea. Ignore the color, it was picked to show detail, the plastic I have to work with is black.

Easiest, I cut that out of plastic or fiberboard, and you drop in a pair of the cup holder grommets I linked above. Maybe after you wrap it in some nice vinyl or cloth.

For a bit more work I glue a thin textured plastic to the top before I round over the corners, Looks a bit nicer, no sharp corners to get caught on, still hard plastic though. And I'm not entirely sure what kind of glue to use to stick two layers of plastic together.

If the grommets are an issue, I could maybe cut a bunch of rings and a circle and stack and glue them, but again not sure what kind of glue to use. Probably add some hidden dowel pins to hold things together. This takes a while though.

Just the top plate. Cover it with something, add those above linked cup holder grommets, and trim and shim to fit.

Both need a little clean-up, but you get the idea.
