That's um... Yeah, not worth that much
Also, I was warned, by a very trustworthy company that would never lie to me about anything. That you should never ever remove the cover on that magic box

Seen a few of these. Smart parts used to offer this service to convert regular valves into smart mag vavles. I'm not sure if this was some third party shop that copied it but knowing SP they were very litigous so I doubt it. I'm more curious why people tossed the housings (housing just looked cool and didn't do anything, my guess is that the housing forces the Inlet to stick out like two inches and by ditching it you get a much smaller profile.

Shhhh! You are not worthy to know! Because it's MAGIC and it even says on the box you shouldn't attempt to remove it

No. That's not a copy, that's what's in the box, mostly. Looks like someone removed the extension tube from the air input at some point. The "magic" of it is that little 2" tube. All it does is increase the volume of the dump chamber and therefore you can lower the pressure. SP was king of convincing people that low pressure was better so that's exactly what they did. You had a qualified airsmith install this and presto chango you would need to turn the regulator down or you would be shooting too hot.Originally posted by SupaF1y View PostSeen a few of these. And as everyone knows, simply because you turn the regulator down means you are absolutely using less air. The volume of air isn't in any way a factor in that equation.
In reality it was just one more thing that emptied wallets into the SP bank account. I mean look at that from a manufacturing point of view. The only thing they had to produce is that cover. All the other bits are of the shelf fittings.
