I just finished up the last room in my house that needed updating which was the laundry room. It's nice actually having storage in there now. I also redid all the plumbing and did soundproofing insulation in that wall as it is a shared wall with one of the bedrooms. I just started a bookshelf wall for the wife about a week ago that i hope to have finished by Christmas.

I finished my solar install just in time to get the tax credit, I have both screenshot proof that it functions and the new off grid panel has an inspection sticker with 12/30/25 as proof that it was installed before the end of the year. It's a 9.25kW system with 20kWh worth of battery backup, it is powering all of my networking equipment and home server (total average of around 600w constant load). I'm going to add some smart loads to burn the extra power after the batteries get charged daily.

If you do it get the largest panels you can, some people try to say the bigger panels aren't better, but the mounting is going to be more expensive with more panels, so having fewer large panels can save thousands over the smaller panels.

I finished the bookshelf wall for the wife. She was absolutely delighted with the results. There are a few things i would have done different, but I learned a bunch doing it.

Very nice! About to start on a similar project for my wife as well.

Making a basement “family room”….80’s style.

Framed some walls to divide the space, foundation walls/floor are getting dry locked (my wife won’t let
me put up wood paneling on the walls 😂).

Bookshelves for my wife, and an old couch (not a pull out), chair, TV stand with “fireplace” TV, DVD player, and a Nintendo (switch)

Pretty far form being done (or good), but it functions!
