Hear me out:
Anyone ever dip mcdonald's fries into their vanilla soft-serve? Like when their soft-serve machines worked? Or dip any kind of salty food into something sweet? And has anyone dipped fries into mayonnaise, instead of (or in addition to) ketchup?
Now, imagine doing both at the same time.

I only dip fries into mayo or aioli. Fries aren't rich enough to need an acid cut. Ketchup is for hotdogs and deep fried fish and baloney. I dunno about the US, but here in NZ most places you'd buy fries will serve them with aioli instead of ketchup.
But that doesn't mean I want mayo icecream. That one is shopped tho.

Mayo and fries is a Dutch thing, I grew up thinking that was how everyone ate them. Probably a European thing too.Originally posted by nerdcore View PostHear me out:

I'm not a fan, I prefer ketchup if I put anything on them.

I once went to an American restaurant in Gothenburg, Sweden (yes, really). They offered like 6 different choices of mayonnaise with the fries. I had ketchup-flavored.Originally posted by Jordan View Post

Vincent Vega was right. They got all the same s*** in Europe that we have here, but over there it's just, it's just a little different
Darn good burger though

Nope no way. Cannot stand mayo in anything. Yeah I have heard Europe they use mayo instead of ketchup for fries. Some places like 5 guys they are big in dipping fries in heinz vinegar. I tried it, not a fan. I do like doing ketchup and tapatio. Got my son liking that too.
