    Should I?

Seeing as I've been battling Ankylosing Spondylitis for 10 years without much improvement, I've passed the age of 60, I can barely do what I have to do, let alone what I'd like to do, should I consider selling off my Paintball collection? I really don't think I'll ever be returning to the field to play before my time is up.

    Thats really a personal call.

Ask yourself this. With your current, and future state, what quality of life does it bring you? Do you have family you could pass it on to?

If you get enough out of just looking at the stuff, its worth keeping.

If its all boxed up or you really dont find yourself getting much out of it short of sentimental value, then get some money for it.

Remember, you can always get someone to lend you some gear in the event you manage to feel good enough to play one day.

Sell off what you can live without. Keep the ones you just can't part with.... Just in case.

Keep anything you have emotional attachment to and purge the rest. You should come down and hang out at Slim's this May just to shoot the shit with everyone. You can still enjoy the community even if your body prevents you from actively playing.

Keep the nostalgic and meaningful kit. To everyone else it will just be a "paintball marker", to you it will be holding a piece of something you love.

              Sell the extras.
Play the back standup a game or two and shoot the shit.

Keep something you love and shoot up something in your yard when the urge strikes ya. Unload the rest and we can always get ya in a game at Slims events.

I know you're debating selling all those unicorns you have..... The real question is why not? Sometimes its easier to understand what something means to you when you have to ask yourself why you WOULDN'T part with it.

It can be quite cathartic to let go of stuff. Like already said, keep what you have an emotional attachment and let everything else just go.

There are always rentals. Sell off everything but your mask... just in case. Then if you want to play just rent and be happy. I rent sometimes when my markers are down for the count and find it enjoyable.

Selling off equipment is not giving up on paintball

I'm sorry about the back. I'm dealing with spondylolisthesis in my L5. No real suggestions here, just wanted you to know that you are not alone.

Are you in a location, that you can shoot paint in the backyard? Are you still able to load, cock and fire those markers? If you answered yes, to both of those questions.....Keep'em!

I tossed together a small humble "Shooting Gallery" in the backyard. It's just old masks, zip tied to mop handles, shoved into the ground for now. But, it works for me! Anytime I need to blow off some steam or just bored and wanna plink around. I just walk out back and spend all the time I need. 👍
