For non-yolo investments... I'd suggest the S&P 500 index funds. Vanguard and Fidelity are the way to go for the lowest cost. Fidelity is virtually no cost I think.

I hadn't played the day trader game in years... This GME thing was/is a fun distraction but slow and steady index funds are the way to go.

      Me and Vanguard are tight.

It's not as convoluted as it looks.

VIGAX is the S&P 500 Growth fund, which is in my taxable account. Large cap for the lowest risk equities, focusing on faster growth and lower taxable distributions.

The rest are basically the same strategy executed across three retirement accounts--a core holding of either the S&P 500 or Total Stock Market Index, with a supplemental small/mid cap fund to capture higher expected growth in smaller companies. I just picked slightly different funds in each one because... Why not? And I get access to the last two institutional funds through work.

No pomp and circumstance with this approach, but it has a history of unbeatable returns. It's the same strategy I've followed since day 1. My favorite retirement account - by far - is my Health Savings Account (HSA). Look into the tax advantages... they're insane. In trade for my having a high deductible health plan that puts me at risk of paying up to ~$9k/yr on health expenses (max out of pocket), I get to invest ~$7k/yr from my pre-tax income, into investments that grow tax free, and after retirement age I can withdraw from it....tax free. It's the only tax free investment account I am aware of for a US citizen.

VTSAX is the way. I used to be 100% in VTSAX and just let it ride for a few years before getting 'into' stock investing and picking individual companies. Even with myself actively trading my account I barely beat VTSAX although my dividend yield is much higher.

      TLDR: Buy VTSAX

For whatever it maybe worth, I don't think that story is going to end well... I think it's more likely that he get's the companies to major trouble (recall SEC violations) before they figure out how to elevate their actual worth to anything close to the stock price. As far as I'm concerned, he's just winning a popularity contest for now.

I don't follow him on social media (mcb is my only social media), and I only hear snipets of the stuff he does. I do however have stock in Tesla, and that's been great.

Alright, it's been at least 4 months since the last time I've posted something stupid here.

GME will be the vessel that delivers my filthy trader soul to either Valhalla or the depths of hell.

        Today, I purchased
        • 18 GME shares at 110.00
        • 2/5 GME 800c 1x
        • 2/15 GME 700c 1x
The options are stupid as hell they have a 450% premium on them lmao so these will drop to 0.00 instantly. The shares are good to hold... forever I guess.... sigh..

But in the off chance it hits 1000 this week, boyo

Here's the question I have for everyone looking at GME and the like. If the market cap is ~70M times the current share price, I assume that means ~70M shares exist. Considering there were over a billion shares transacted in the past 7-10 days or so, why on earth does anyone think that the stock is still shorted at ~100%? Does everyone really think that a small percentage of shares are just being volleyed to pump up the volume of trades? Wouldn't that trigger tax liabilites each time? I don't get it...

            RIP borther

It's too late. The shorts are closed and the players are cashing in. GME is going to be back at 50 by end of week.

I may be stupid but I know one thing, greed.

With 450% premiums on options, no shorter is going to pass up loading up AGAIN.

I believe short data is delayed 24 hours.

              There is a... chance...

It's true. I'm short it pretty bigly. 3 contracts 3p 3/5/21 sold so far at a cool $50 each. I'm not going to pass up free cash.

On another note, is ELON MUSK not the cockies mother fucker in the universe?

This guy, parked his BRAND NEW SN10 rocket ship, right beside the launch/landing pad of the SN9 launch today, where the SN9 subsequently exploded.

My mans Elon Musk is all about it. He don't care. Crash one rocket, crash two rockets, crash 10 rockets it don't matter. He's gonna get to mars and that's how its gonna be.

But yeah pretty cocky parking SN10 right there. Definitely a vote of confidence in the control over the rockets that he didn't think he would crash one into the other. Or maybe he just doesn't care.

Crazy ol' Elon. I half think he must have been trolling the SEC because they have got to be looking at him for market manipulation or anything to try and nail him again after that buyback comment a couple years back, but he's just like "wtfe, I'm a multigazillionaire, fine me again bitches"
