Yay for battery day! I'm really pulling for Tesla although I should have seen how toppy it was just after the split and bailed. If your puts print I'll join the dark side and start buying puts

How stupid would you have to be to buy tsla puts the morning of battery day?

Slick move there buddy. Elon really isn't doing the stockholders any favors today. My goal was to hold my TSLA position through battery day and sell the news but it looks like it's going to be a flop.

Only takes 9 wrong trades to make a right! I won't declare victory yet since I've been bamboozled before; but I'd be quite disappointed in the resolve of the shorters if Andrew Left of Citron Research does not release a short report tomorrow to seal the deal. Was a tough call both ways, but sadly Elon unveiled nothing but extra risk for investors (I may be wrong, donno what the media will latch on to). I wish your position good luck, you're saving the planet and supporting sustainability!

This man is Elon's worst enemy now (old article) : https://markets.businessinsider.com/...0-2-1028876660

1 day old tweet about Nkla, notice the "nomusk" quip when comparing Trevor to Musk (so maybe he's not short and I'm just looking to deep into it so who knows) : https://twitter.com/CitronResearch/s...685756928?s=20

So pretty much I fully expect some shnanegans either way.

Yeah, I'm not particularly bullish on it. I really bought my TSLA position to make a play on the stock split and then got greedy and didn't sell at $500 so now I'm bag holding until I can at least eek some profit out of this trade. It definitely wasn't a smart move at all. I would really like to keep like a small handful of TSLA shares in the portfolio just to catch a shooting star if it does take off again but there are so many headwinds right now with that company and no more catalyst to send it higher.

My poor puts got IV crushed, I played for a 50% drop market crash and it wasn't even close. And no shorter took the shot at Elon. At least it was the cheapest 0.01 contracts and I didn't get very many. I checked the options chain and literally all puts got crushed except well in the money ones so sucks for all bears. Som bullshit. I forget IV plummets after 'events'. Now TSLA chillin at 420 and going to keep going up more likely. Imma just sit back and watch I guess lol.

                        Dang, sorry to hear it

In other news I'm looking at doing some cash covered puts and covered calls to generate some more income. The "wagon wheel" strat looks pretty compelling for an extra hundred dollars a month or so selling OTM calls/puts and collecting premiums.

I'm also looking hard at Intel and their earnings. Their P/E is hideously low right now and earnings estimates are extremely low. With the new Tiger lake release and them moving away from in-house manufacturing I think analysts are shooting too low. My bet is on a solid earnings beat and the share price skyrocketing.

Palantir (PLTR) went public today. Thoughts?

Without venturing too far into politics, I will at least mention I don't like a lot of what they do, but I think the surveillance genie is out of the proverbial bottle. I also think it's a safe bet that this segment is only going to grow

I bought a few shares. YOLO

Palantir looks interesting although I really make it policy not to invest in IPO's. Based on the difference in opinion on IPO pricing being so great it probably has some good upside potential. I saw the NYSE was rating it in the mid teens although analysts had it's IPO in the $30 range.

I've been strongly considering doing this as well. Any thoughts for stock candidates?
