Tangentially related to Rockabilly- I saw Steve 'n' Seagulls last night and they killed it. Can recommend if you get a chance to see them play.
Original song by Metallica turned into newgrass version. Steve'n'Seagulls collaborated with 70 years old Valtra. Happy Anniversary Valtra! You can find this ...

Yeah I definitely got to be in the right mood for it.

During a hard workout I prefer music that isn't in English

I enjoy rockabilly music but it’s not my go to jams. Anything I can’t make out the words to I’m not really into unless it’s got a killer beat. But I like the mash ups of styles and old school sounds.

Punk Rock Girl is an awesome song. I have not really listened to much, if any, Mojo Nixon - but a shame to see he passed.

If you don't got Mojo Nixon then your thread could use some fixin'.

Rest in peace to a legend.

Interesting. Not exactly out of my musical lane...

Funny that surf rock should be mentioned: I've been getting into that as of late. Starting with The Beach Boys and Dick Dale and seeing where I want to go from there.
Dick Dale is amazing! I have a couple of The Ventures' albums that I throw on every so often as well. Good stuff to listen to while cleaning the house.

I totally agree. I saw Man or Astroman when they got together for their (or their label's?) 25th anniversary. Absolutely fantastic live show!! It had theremins, theremins on fire, and the encore consisted of a homemade tesla coil.

I would also toss Igor and The Red Elvises into the mix; the are also super fun live!

That AFI cover is good. I added it into one of my playlists. I’m going to look up some more of their stuff.

And lastly, The Frights. They're technically surfer punk or some crap, but I think you'll like them.
