Well here we go. I love the sound of a great guitar more than almost anything. Been addicted to fast shredding and addictive riffs my whole life and have always had fantasies of being on stage performing my favorite songs. I have to admit, watching shows and movies like the dirt and tales from the tour bus made me like it for other reasons . But nothing tops the joy i feel, Sober or not, of listening to my favorite musicians play and sing. They truly move me to tears some of them. My true inspiration though to finally get off my ass and start playing is down to one individual. Randy Rhoads.

The blizzard and diary albums will forever be on top of my playlist (you said it all has to be fav next to over the mountain and mr crowley). I have such an appreciation for randys work that i decided I couldn't wait any longer. I had to do whatever it takes to be able to play like that. March 19th 1982 is a date the predates my existence almost two decades. And I couldn't begin to describe the sheer greatness of the loss to our world that occurred that day. Know the events of that date better than most and i know ill never forget.

The guitar is a fender fa-135ce, nothing changed on it. (Do they refer to that as "stock" in the music scene?)

Randy have been a big guitar inspiration for me too, his classical background and his genious made some of the best classic Ozzy song with nice chord progression. I always love to play Diary of a madman intro and Dee on an acoustic guitar.

Yes! Randy was a classical player first. He had plans to leave ozzy and go to college for a degree and teach classical guitar. That and continue his learning, dude never stopped. I learned from him i need to learn my own style and ways, and need to learn my sting theory. He knew his cold and his tone was so incredible.

Im a randy fanboy so since this is the performance I listened to that made me grab the guitar im gonna post it here for others to enjoy (also quick thanks to chemist Albert Hoffman).

Date was jan 24 1982 not 25, was same night as the superbowl 16 the 49ers beat the bengals.

I have 3 electric, 2 acoustic and 1 bass
I like old Japan 1970-1980 copy/lawsuit era for electric guitar you can find some cheap one that are actually very well made, older Korean guitar are good too
I have a Korean Ibanez superstrat with seymore duncan JB pickup (mod) and a Telecaster copy by Laredo Japan with fender Texas special pickup (laredo use standard pickup and not the special neck pickup use on Fender Telecaster)

Its definitely gonna be hard since im gonna be teaching myself. But the internet has lots of great teaching videos.

Im having a hard time fretting the string when im trying to play a cord. I can press a single string down ok. But multiple, and one string usually buzzes or is muted. Also my strumming technique is bad. I want to strum with my arm and not my wrist. Just need to get more practice fretting and try to get better wrist.
