    Lorna Shore

Anyone here into Lorna Shore? Apparently they played a couple blocks from my house about 6 months ago (before I had heard of them 🤦‍♂️), but since then I've done some listening. I just picked up the Pain Remains 12", and have of course watched some videos of people (i.e. vocal coaches) reacting to Will Ramos' voice. By the way- Will Ramos can do some completely insane things with his voice- it is absolutely unreal.

Now I just need them to come back through town...

I've seen the open for others a couple of times, good show. I've got one of their albums but for some reason after ripping it, my mp3 player won't play it.

I've had the newest album basically on repeat for about a week now, and when I'm just out and about it is running through my head. The Pain Remains Trilogy is amazing. 🤘

edit: I'll admit I don't listen to much metal anymore, and when I do it is usually something along the lines of Cannibal Corpse- but the texture and melody (?) that his vocals add to the music is (imo) pretty spectacular.

My favorite Lorna Shore song. It's over the top, and crazy, and I love it.

"Swallowed by the womb of deeaaaaaaaath!!" That breakdown is so heavy.

Irrespective of this thread, I stumbled onto this song today. First time listening to the band, though I had heard the name before.

The music I've listened to this evening has gone from blues (Danish Pete, Nigel Hendroff) to blackened death metal (Keith Merrow's Mojave Repressions) to this, to piano dubstep (Faux Tales), to whatever the hell you call Tim Henson, to Veil of Maya. and back to this. And now back to blues and synthwave lol.

I LOVE the overall feel of this song. It's super dark, and sonically evokes the idea of going to hell. It really feels like those depressive/angry suicidal moments. That said, I don't really like the breakdowns. It's the thing with deathcore that always bugs me. They're super heavy but I don't feel like the transition works very well. The only deathcore band I know that does it successfully is Droqning in Sulfur or Defamed (more or less the same band). These feel so... abrupt. Like I said though, I love the main body of the song. The vocalist has some crazy range.
