What game(s) are you playing right now?

Didn't see a thread for this, so here's one.

What game(s) are you playing right now?

I'm currently playing Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and doing a no-evolution (base form only) run of Pokemon Red. Still have a playthrough of Legend of Dragoon to finish up and to beat the final boss in Metroid Dread (that guy is HARD). Considering picking up Dark Souls again once I finish these.

Bought a Switch for the kids for Christmas and have Mario Brothers U Deluxe or whatever. I suck so bad at this game. Very frustrating, die a lot. Playing with my kids is even harder.

Thankfully have been enjoying Mario Cart and can play it. Kids like it as well. I am also the family high score holder for Just Dance 2021. And thinking of picking up the latest Mario Party.

Between games on a PS4 after finishing the latest God of War and nothing struck my fancy lately.

Mario Kart? Perhaps we should play sometime. Been looking for fresh meat, er, new competition.

Super Mario 3-D World is really good. Zelda BotW as well. Metroid Dread if you’re into Metroidvanias.

So like every BF game it’s roll out was terrible. What I do like is they gave you the keys to the castle. If you don’t like your game you can build whatever you want threw the portal. People on discord have been make all kinds of cool game modes threw it. I feel it will only improve. Right now it still dose not show stats or have in game chat. Most are using Discord for chat right now. The latest update made a big difference. Movement seems fun, there are a few OP weapons but they are figuring it out and balancing it. Vehicles are cool it takes some practice to fly / drive them. Over all I’m enjoying the game I think it has a ton of potential and will only improve as the community finds new ways to play it.

I’m done with the COD series to many cheaters.

I haven’t been gaming this past year much but I was playing Rainbow Six Siege and Total War: Warhammer 2 (highly underrated game) a lot from 2017-2021. But I finished Divinity 2, Battletech, and some other turn based strategy/RPG’s in between. Hopefully I’ll get back into it soon. I have an extensive backlog

I've been playing the Witcher 3 on and off lately, with a bit of Spiderman: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. My backlog is so extensive that I can't decide what to work on most of the time. I recently got the platinum trophy for finishing Fallout 76, so I never have to play that again.

Ugh 76. I got frustrated with it after 3 or 4 times playing it and I reverted to Skyrim for a while after

To be fair 76 is a much better game now than it was at launch. I played it at launch and just gave up on it, but it being the only fallout game I hadn't platinumed bothered me so I bit the bullet and dived back in. They fixed a lot of the stuff that made me walk away, which helped.

Same I couldn’t get past how clunky the mechanics of the game was. I will admit I didn’t give it a chance. There is a lot to it, I just couldn’t get into it.

evilfishsticks I loved TW3. Possibly the best single player experience from the last generation. And despite loving the main story, I never got to the DLC/expansions.

Really missing out without the DLC. Hearts of Stone has some really excellent writing and a compelling story, and Blood and Wine feels like an entire new game with vibrant colors and characters.

I picked up the complete edition for like 9 bucks sometime last year. I'll get to the dlc at some point, I am thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Deltasteve, my only gripe is that its been so long since I finished the main story that I would have to reload it and almsot re-learn the combat system. But I was pretty adept at it. if you can forgive the boast. There's a learning curve, as you know, but once you practice your dodges, rolls, and parries, and arrow deflections -- it makes for some really cool cinematic battles. But its been a really long time since I beat the main story, like 5 years. I doubt I'll invest the time to re-load the game just for the DLC. And that actually makes me think back on that feeling of completion and emotional exhaustion you felt at the end of the game when you're back in Kaer Morhen and everyone else is either gone or dead -- and you get a sense of blissful dread-- and it was enough for me. I felt completed. I was both amazed and exhausted, at the same time. But yeah I heard the Heart of Stone DLC is very good, where you have to help vampire investigate a murder, etc

I got to the final boss in Dread and after dying 50 times decided to put it down for a bit as well. I bought my wife a Switch for Chrimbus and we have been playing a lot of ACNH together which has been fun. I also got Pokemon B.D. and have been enjoying that. Been having a hankering for the spookies lately so I think I may attempt a Silent Hill playthrough again soon.

Just bought Empire: Total War and Civ VI to try and stave off my desire to play Morrowind some more (really want SkyWind to finish). I want to get into Path of Exile again as well. My computer is pushing 12 years old or so (Graphics card is newer, RAM is way up, but the processor was a high-end i5 when built). Borderlands 2 may return as well.

If you want a simple game you could give Bad North a try.

I got a Switch in November and during the month of December I just binged pokemon brilliant diamond, Christmas I got some visa gift cards so that went straight to smash bros ultimate, and Mario kart, I also got links awakening, Breath Of The Wild, and Wario ware get it together the only game of those I have yet to beat is Mario kart(mainly got it for family to play with) and I haven't touched breath of the wild I might start it this week.

I'm looking at Pokemon Legends Of Arceus(later this months) Metriod Dread, Mario Maker 2, pokemon sword/shield(eventually), Stardew Valley, Mario Party, and a few other games

The Warhammer series up to Soulstorm are some of my favorites. Retribution was meh, ok, and haven't really gotten into anything beyond that. I keep Civ V loaded. It is my do nothing, play all day while doing other stuff game. It is a shame that Civ VI sucks balls. My current favorite and play most of the time game is still Division 2. I am more than a bit bummed at the delays that keep happening on the new content. They do have enough stuff out that it keeps the game fresh. It's unfortunate that Breakpoint is such a disappointment.

I have been having a hard time finding a game I really enjoy as of late. I picked up all the Battlefield games at a great price, got the new Tomb Raider game nearly free (and it is free now), picked up CB77 (which sucks), got Witcher 3 and don't play it....I have loads of games that I simply don't enjoy a lot. I suck too bad for all these massive multi player jobbies. I will say that I am looking forward to the release of Sniper 5. That is a series I dig a lot as well.

The only aspect of 4 that I would have liked to see come to 5 an onward is unit stacking. It sucks to have to move an army across the map.

Have you played Total War Warhammer II? Its become one of my all time favorite games. Im actually looking forward to the third installment more than Elden Ring and that’s saying something cause I know ER is going to be one of the top games of this gen.

Are you into Warhammer (sword & magic) fantasy or Warhammer 40k?

I do the 40K series stuff, over the top, build the base thingy. As mentioned, the last one I really liked was Soulstorm and even went into the mods and player maps for a bit. I tried the 'first person' Warhammer game with my last console, PS something or another and wasn't very impressed at that time. Might have to look into it again.
