Marsupilami for the Switch. I know nothing about the cartoon other than it exists. It’s an ok little platformer in the vein of Donkey Kong Country. Nothing particularly special about it but nothing particularly bad about it either other than it really doesn’t have much in the way of personality. Definitely worth the couple of dollars i paid for it.
Ah Paying Off Debt. The worst reviewed game in history that people all over the world still play on a regular basis. I’m many hours into it myself. I wasn’t doing too bad until i started the Internal Revenue Service side quest. It’s timed - which i hate - & failing the quest gets you the worst ending.
Been playing Helldivers 2 regularly since launch. Combined what i love about the first game with gameplay from "modern" shooters. Rarely have a bad session.
Also playing Vampire Survivors, which is surprisingly addicting.
Inherited my cousin's GameCube + some games, so will finally play Metroid Prime 1 & 2. Splurged on a few modern upgrades: Prism HD (Carny isn't back in stock yet), 8BitDo wireless controller board, and their wireless adapter. Luckily, have cousin's only mem card; not very comfortable doing whatever is involved with the micro-sd card mod.
OpusX - i get it now. I kept seeing SD2SP2 in relation to Swiss & GC Loader and then I'd check out. Too many new terms! But i see the plug and play bit now. All these brands the same? Any more reputable than others?
cheapguitarscheapthrills & Siress - for sure! I play a lot with dukie, if you've seen him on here, and a couple local friends. I'll shoot y'all messages next time I'm on.
Pretty close to finishing Robocop- Rogue City, which I have to say is really good. Lots of references to the original movies with some new stuff in it as well. It even inspired me to go re-watch the movies. The 2014 version is terrible compared to the original. Way to much character crap, not enough shooting dudes in the dick.
Prior to that I went through Avowed twice, which I thought was also pretty good. Not a masterwork by any stretch, but enjoyable enough that I played through it twice.
I might get into Atomfall if it shows up on Game Pass, otherwise I'm basically waiting for the new Doom game to drop.
Siress It's awesome. Once upgraded the shield is ridiculous and definitely the most fun weapon / mechanic in the game. The parry works very well and is actually important to the game play loop, instead of just being a 'thing' that you can do. Can recommend.

if you save the pieces instead of giving them back to the drunk, and collect a few more items, you can build giant anime robots to decorate your island with
Picked this up yesterday. Played it on the GC with my brother years ago. The Xbox version is on the back compat list, and it looks good on the Series X so far.
Mutant Mudds. A pure platformer with a little shooting that really puts an emphasis on precision jumps & timing. I’m only 30 or so levels in & they’ve ranged from challenging to infuriating. I doubt I’ll have the patience to see it all the way through but I’m not giving up on it just yet.
I never played Super Meat Boy because of its reputation. I usually shy away from games like that. Every now & then I’ll give a game that’s notoriously difficult a shot. I usually find some amount of enjoyment with them but not enough to endure the frustration it would require to finish them. A good example is Cuphead. There’s so much about that game that i like but it just kicked the absolute crap out of me time after time. I used to love the sense of accomplishment that came from finishing a really hard game but the older i get the shorter my attention span/frustration limit gets.
Started playing The Angry Video Game Nerd last night. I’m not really a fan but then again i don’t think it’s aimed at people my age. If i was 13 I’d probably think he was a comic genius. The games, however, looked right up my alley. I like what I’ve played so far. It’s chock full of his humor which doesn’t do anything for me of course but the gameplay is straight up 80’s NES. The retro video game references are cool & on normal it’s been challenging but not impossible.
I played Durandal back when they ported it to 360. Didn’t get very far in the story though. Mostly just played the survival mode or whatever they called it.
I started playing the Oblivion Remaster. Only a few hours in but it’s real good. Looks incredible, and it fixed the floaty combat from the original. Supposedly they didn’t fix the crappy leveling system, but I haven’t gotten far enough in to confirm.
As far as I can tell it's the same old. I purposely set up my characters Major skills to be the opposite of what I lime that way I level up slower. Already lvl 18 after saving all my levels to 13, then playing a few more hours. I just went around uncovering all the PoIs on the map.
Oblivion remastered looks exactly how i remember it looking as it was when I was 13. Ive already probably got 10 or 12 hours in. Fully kitted out frostcrag Spire (player house) and now I'm not sure what my goal should be. I think I want to raid all the caves in order. I dunno why.
also, my first 2 chosen random caves were both full of vampires lol. Make sure to visit a chapel and get a blessing so you don't end up a vampire, if you do wanna be a vampire there's a great old DLC house on rhe southern most tip of the map called the vile lair that you can buy a permanent NPC that always sleeps and can't be killed. You can use him to cheese your sneak level, pickpocket level, and blade/blunt levels since he can't die. Be aware, you might gain to many levels to fast so don't spend them all at once.
