I ever-so-quietly mimic the jingle of Gudgeon's armor with each step he takes...

    Tik...tingk...ping...

If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

      Sorry for the wait.

As you move down the stairs, you note that you seem to be in the same cave as before, but things are a bit different. The path you came and went through seems to be on the other side of the bridge. Those of you that had before sensed the presence of the creature do start picking it up again. The cave continues a ways to your right, and you can just make out two openings in the walls on the other side of the chasm.

I project my thoughts towards the darkness of the chasm....
Sorry to disturb you again, Mistress. It be but us.

I listen for the people we had heard coming down this way when we were cutting the bridges, and look for any signs that they may still be close.

        Perception: 1D20 + 5 = 10 + 5 = 15
        Investigation: 1D20 + 2 = 17 + 2 = 19

Gudgeon looks over his shield, around the cave, hammer up and readied.

          He whispers "Where now?"

            You sense nothing of note.

I nod to our right and start skirting the wall that way, keeping the chasm to my left. Both the bridges are cut, so there's only really one way for me to both walk towards and aim towards. Every other time my right foot hits the ground, I do a little pivot at the hips and shoulders to check behind me and glance into chasm... not out of any sort of fear of what's down there, but almost like a kid walking past the house of his friend...

Maybe she doesn't want to play. I don't blame her, we probably stink...

Ivan follows behind him, but skirting along closer to the crevasse edge so he can get a better look at the bridges and the other side.

As you get close to the edge, tho do note that the sides look like they would be quite easy to climb.

Gudgeon notes the soft breeze coming from the cave to the south. Ah that is where we would have come in.

Seeing his companions moving along the edges he lets them get a little ahead of him before moving behind them, right down the middle of the area between the crack in the floor and the wall. Following my companions north I keep my eyes ahead focusing on the dark hole in the wall tot he north and wondering what we will find beyond it.

Assuming no Redbrands show up to stop me, I continue through the northern opening on the east side of the chasm. I skirt the wall on my right all the way to the opening, continuing to glance over my left shoulder every second time my right foot hits the marching surface.

Right before passing through the opening, I nod to Ivan and Gudgeon as I glance over my shoulder.

It feels like this is taking too long, but don't get hasty... slow is smooth, smooth is fast...

Pique follows along keeping an eye on the chasm and our rear, allowing his companions to worry about where we are going.

Pique whispers to the group, "and remind me why we are down here?" "I'm going to need that for the journal when we get done"

Ivan follows Eric through the hallway to the back of the cave. (red arrow).

He knocks a bolt on the crossbow and raises it, ready. Then starts looking around the room for anything of interest.

Oy, my dark vision isn't doing so well these days. Getting to old for this. Wait, did I even have dark vision?

There are a few set dressing boxes around, it's a relatively large area you step into. I'll need investigation checks from anyone looking around.

                                Good, it's not another closet...

Large room, lots of boxes. I say, answering Pique.

I keep an eye out for Redbrands popping up from behind the plethora of crates.
