Replaced a few things on the 1 series. Suspension (M3 control arms, M3 sway bar, shocks, and bump stops), front turbo oil return line (sucked), and rear diffuser. 20 psi in a small car is fun.

I’m very happy now the it’s been aligned. It was one of those instances where upgrading the suspension was the same price as replacing with stock parts. The stock bushings had worn out so went ahead with something that added a little camber.
With the thicker sway bar, solid bushings, and new shocks it feels a bit firmer up front. Feels more supportive and planted when turning. I’ve never taken it to the track but may have to soon.

N54 or 55?
I loved my 335i. It handled great, and took a crash even better.
-
Haha sorry to hear about the crash.
It’s an n54. Fantastic engine making great power for little money, just the supporting parts could be made a little longer lasting.

Well, I finally got into something other than the WRX... big enough to fit the family, and still quick enough to make the wife complain (at least from 0-30mph)
Is it exciting? Hell no, I nearly fell asleep the first time I drove it. Not hyperbole... that actually happened.
Is it fuel efficient, comfortable, and packed full of quality of life features? You bet... I really dig the interior on the new Hyundai's.
The warranty on these cars is insanely good. The powertrain warranty is 150k miles (100k MFR + 50k from the dealer). And, hilariously, it seems their AWD has surpassed the "trail rated" Jeep Compass.
...and I still have the WRX. For a little while at least.

My dad bought one of those a couple years ago and I was blown away how nice it was for the price. Fully loaded with all the tech and toys and they drive great.
-
That looks sweet!
My wife has been hounding me for something with 3rd row so she can move other people’s kids around. So we been shopping around the Hyundai have come a long way.
-
Thanks, guys! It has been great driving it around. Chuck E Ducky my wife was in the same boat last year after her Buick shit the bed. We needed a 3rd row, sliding doors, and AWD - which narrowed the options down to just the Toyota Sienna. I've become a huge fan of it. I kept borrowing it for trips to Lowes so that factored into me up-sizing to an SUV.

Finally got my NSX up and running properly. I been troubleshooting it for a while pulling my hair out trying to source a high RPM misfire that pulls timing and put it into limp mode. Completely random after it warms up. Had me nervous driving it so it’s been sitting. Replaced some relays that can cause odd random issues and it started misfiring all the time vs random misfire. Figured I had a dead coil so I replaced all 6. Finally got the parts I needed in from japan after some new plugs and coils its running like a good Honda again. $1200 for 6 coils but happy to have it running proper again. I got a bunch of non-compliance parts and hardened billet motor mounts. Still need to do the taillight gaskets. Might put some KW3 coilovers in it when I do the new steering rack but I got to find a quality alignment shop to get its corner balanced. But for now it’s drivable.

Chucky, bring the NSX, I'll bring the Evo, and we will just have to cuddle up with Melrosejedi in his truck bed

I love the Pilot Sport Cup 2’s they don’t last long but man do they hook. Make sure you got some clear shield protection because they are sticky and will throw stones
-
I feel that. I have some cross climates on my corolla I've taken out a few time.
I ran some of the hot 200tw on the mr2 for a few seasons. faster but not necessarily more fun
I think you can get both cup2 & RE71rs from Costco nowadays and they do brand sales often, etc
I'm just jealous cause those twins are hella fun two whip around.
-
Just a misc update: My OEM tires were showing some disconcerting wear so I ended up purchasing a set of Sport Cup 2’s in July.
Much grippier than OEM, and it seems like they’ve held up well to daily driving (although I only average about 250-300 miles a month these days).
I’m actually swapping them out for my winter Blizzaks today. It’s kind of early in the season to swap out for winter tires, but I don’t want to risk getting caught on snow or ice with the Sport Cup 2s.

So how dose it ride? The thing a torque monster or what?
-
Havent taken delivery yet. It wont be delivered from Triumph until mid July. The RX model is slightly modified from the RS model. Clip-ons, rear sets, akro exhaust mainly. I test drove the RS and that thing is amazing. 180 hp and 95 lbft of torque but those are just numbers. The seat of the pants dyno says this is more bike than I am used to. With the wheelie control set to 4, it wheelies in first and second by just giving it the beans.

Another one of my rides....😁 Snap shooting try-hards and getting blasted by new rental players is fun as all hell but something different is the only way to describe racing. Even on these small bikes. Its just a different kind of energy.Do hard things for fun. Being soft is for sissies. Being an asshole is easy, thats why everyone is one. Being stand up us hard. Currently with the gearing its about 60. This off season it will get a high compression piston, a race cam, new throttle-body, and have everything port matched. Then it should be closer to 70 but getting there a tad faster. The gearing is currently set up for shorter go-kart tracks where this gets most of its use. There are a few full length tracks in the season where I will swap the gearing for longer straights and more sweeping turns. Wish I had started this before paintball in all honesty. Way better return of investment as crazy as that sounds. From the beginning of my paintball life, through sponsor deals with free paint, to having a family and introducing them to the sport.... Racing from day one would have been cheaper and racing isnt cheap.
Mini racing is though.

Nice. 👍
I’m not looking to race anything, but I sometimes lurk in the Honda Navi subreddit and the things some people do with those bikes… lol. I’m new-ish to bikes, so it’s not worth it for me right now but it’s neat to see. Simple, single-cylinder fun.

I wonder if the Navi will have the same support that the Ruck did. Here was the one I built.1 PhotoDo hard things for fun. Being soft is for sissies. Being an asshole is easy, thats why everyone is one. Being stand up us hard. Be a hard bastard but be respectful.

There’s a lot of bolt-on stuff, but not sure about engine swaps & bigger stuff. Many people on the Navi subreddit do a 12” rear wheel swap by either shaving the case or stretching the rear, using different weights (CVT), and exhaust. Oh, and carb.
I just ordered an adjustable shock for mine. Mainly looking at comfort-oriented mods so far. Seat cover, wind screen, etc. Tires have been a PITA to find, as I don’t want to have to change much to get bigger tires to fit & I can’t find anyone that makes a matching set for this bike aside from stock replacements. Just gotta keep looking, I guess.
-
Look into using sliders vs rollers for the CVT weights. Also on Gy6 engines, shaving down the slider pully by a few mm allows the belt to ride further out near the edge of the pully surface which gets you a bit more top end. Not sure if the Honda motor would be similar but it would make sense to be.

Very nice, groms are dope.
