A few of my favorites: fair warning they are mostly old shows because I'm not up on all this new stuff

Star Trek TNG; Patrick Stewart is an absolutely amazing actor and I think the franchise peaked there
House of Cards; Seasons 1-4 were the best and 5 was okay but after Kevin Spacey got kicked off the show it went downhill. The intense level of acting on his part and all the other cast in each scene is amazing
The Sopranos; it's a classic, no real explanation needed

Blood Drive - Death Race meets arty grindhouse.
Disenchantment - Matt Groening's latest offering on Netflix. It is different than The Simpsons / Futurama, and takes a little to get going. Once it does it is quite enjoyable. In typical fashion there are loads of very subtle jokes and a lot of long-term plot items that are threaded through the whole series.
Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog - Joss Whedon makes a musical during the 2007 writers strike. Won a bunch of awards, is amazingly well written, and the cast is fantastic.
Firefly - Joss Whedon makes a space western. One of the best Sci-Fi series to come out in the last 20 years. It's really too bad it never had a decent chance on TV... Serenity (the movie that follows) is also really good.
Futurama - One of my favorite shows ever. Jokes range from in your face to incredibly subtle, and it is written by one of the smartest groups of writers ever assembled:
The writing staff held three Ph.D.s, seven master's degrees, and cumulatively had more than 50 years at Harvard University. Series writer Patric M. Verrone stated, "we were easily the most overeducated cartoon writers in history".
      -wikipedia
The Witcher - Great books, amazing games, and so far a really good series.

michael shur is never a bad choice
parks and rec finds its stride after the first season
brooklyn 99 has always been great
the good place is also great, be sure to watch it in order

better off ted is an old show from 2010, only had 2 seasons, it has aged well (it didn't end gracefully, they knew they weren't getting renewed for the last few episodes, and you can tell they mailed it in to wrap it up, blame cougartown)

starwars: the clone wars series on Disney plus is some solid starwars action (even though you know that obi-wan and anakin dont die no matter what kind of trouble they find)
starwars: rebels is also been pretty enjoyable
also both of these will provide better context to whats going on with the Mandalorian (especially season 2)

Parks & Rec is fantastic all the way through. Most shows like that lose their focus and end up developing dozens of stupid tangent story lines for supporting cast, but they kept it in check. The other story lines exist, but they don't take over.
        Brooklyn 99 is amazing!

No matter whether you are a Star Wars fan or not, I can wholeheartedly recommend the latest Star Wars TV-series "Andor". In short, it is the best Star Wars I have ever seen, and one of the best TV-series I have ever seen.

That may seem like high praise and your mileage may vary. I didn't have any particular expectations of it, and it seemed somewhat lackluster to have a TV-series based off Andor, when there is a vast array of characters to choose from. However, unlike the clusterducks of "Book of Boba Fett" and "Obi-Wan Kenobi" where Disney/Lucasfilm completely disregarded coherent and engaging storytelling, they were pretty much forced to with "Andor", since the series didn't have a beloved character as a pull factor.

And this is where "Andor" shines. The story and the script are absolutely brilliant. In fact, it reminds me of the first half of "Game of Thrones" in how each and every character has a believable personality, makes reasonable and rational choices from that personality, and how hte overarcing story makes sense. It would have been a great TV-series in its own fictional universe, but since the producers have managed to fit it in with Star Wars lore and timeframe, it actually makes for a great Star Wars TV-series as well.

I am anxiously awaiting the season finale this evening. Hopefully they won't manage to screw it up with some lacklustre finale with all the klichés there is for a generic season finale. However, the series has been great so far, so I actually have hope for the season finale as well.

All the new ones since Mandalorian are great. I have since become a Star Wars fan after watching the new series. I went back and watched them all in order. I’m really enjoying this series and all the movies.

I still need to finish Ozark. It's really good, but the brutality and tone of the show exhaust me. I fucking love Bob's Burgers. Kristen painted me a bunch of BB pictures last Christmas.

I can't believe I didn't mention this before the The Leftovers (HBO) is wicked good. Kind of biblical, kind of mind bendy, great soundtrack, got sexy ass Justin Theroux in it. Good stuff.

I find Big Mouth hilarious, but it's flavor of comedy isn't for everybody.

If any of you are into really gritty, true crime, give Gomorrah a go. It’s an Italian “fictional” series based on the Camorra crime clans in Naples. And I put fictional in parentheses because even though they’re based on Saviano’s novels, the clan structure and overall writing is hyper-realistic. You feel like a fly on the wall watching organized crime in a way that surpasses hollywood by a couple notches. This series had the highest ratings in Europe next to Game of Thrones. It just ended last year with the fifth season.

Oh has anyone watched mind hunters? I really enjoyed that. The characters they used matched the actual criminals perfectly.

Yes. Siress Dahmer- Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is also in the same vein, worth a watch as well. Mind Hunters hit a wall since it told the story of how the FBI Behavioral Science Unit came to be. And that plotline was concluded. So they couldnt continue the same overall formula. I know people were also captivated by the BTK sideplot, and wanted it to continue by just focusing on the serial killers, since that was probably the most compelling part of the show -- but they couldnt continue the BTK plotline either since he wasnt caught until 2005 and that didnt mesh with the main BSU plotline. Dahmer Monster is basically its successor, in a way. Also Dahmer and Gacy were active around the same time, and the last couple of episodes also showcase Gacy.

I pretty much only watch comedies on TV. Seinfeld, Frasier (super underrated), The Simpsons (up until the late 2000s), King Of The Hill (up until the last couple seasons) and Beavis and Butthead (I enjoy Mike Judge's work) are all good.

I made the mistake of saying something similar to my wife, who spent years working in the industry. Frasier won thirty-seven Emmy's, including 5 consecutive wins for 'Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series'. They're one of the most acclaimed shows of all time, and certainly the most highly acclaimed spin-off series. I look forward to the reboot
