    Inline/Tank Mounted On/Offs?

Anyone use one of these, or something like it?
Paintball Tank Inline On/Off ASA Adapter CO2/Compressed Air Pin Valve Depressor 808424917870 | eBay

I've got some markers now that have old non-on/off ASAs, mainly because they are historically appropriate. Doing any tinkering or testing with them though is chewing throw orings on my ninja tank. I don't like the price on these things, but look like I could get just one and stick it on whatever marker I'm fiddling with.

Not a bad option for what you're looking to use it for. It's worked fine the few times I've used mine. If you're going to use it in game, you'll want to have an ASA that is either on a drop or inline with the back of the frame, or else your tank will probably be too long.

A better option for your case might be a remote line with slide check.

I often will tech guns using a remote with a slide check. Quick and easy to cut the air if leaking and when done adjusting just push the slide check for air.

They are nice for tanks that are too short. Like 13s. They should only be like $15

Yeah, remote with a slide check for teaching stuff.

I have one of those for those odd situations but it almost never gets used. At home I have a scuba tank with a fill adaptor, I hang my paintball tank off it with the remote line attached and the slide check is on the marker end of the remote.

For field use, if you want a really cool AND period appropriate solution, try to track down a centerflag 420SV regulator. It's a mid 2000s tank regulator that has a on/off bleed built in. The knurled ring in the photo functions just like a slide check but it's built into the tank reg. Super cool, I had one and kind of regret selling it

I have 4 of those I got in a clearance sell. I tried the Trinity one and Mildig one, with a slight preference for the milsig.

if you are OK spacing your tank 2" its a good option. But keep in mind you are adding other oring that can leak someday.

If you want one I could sell you one, let me do a quick check as I had one that was leaking sometime but I have some that work fine.

I used them on my tippmann SMG60s because the ninja ball bearing doesn't work well with the SMG ASA. Work perfect for me.

Remote line idea never even occurred to me for some reason. That would work though I would like to actually have the tank on the marker as well. Thanks for the offer Alexndl, I think I'll just try and source a cheapish one nearby.

RuleOfSines The one you linked looks a lot like the one ANS gear sells. I did not like the ANS as much as a different brand I have. the ANS one has the air ports configured in a way that it appears they get restricted by the tank bonnet when fully screwed in.

otoh I have an on off made by New Designs http://www.newdesignz.com/Misc_5.htm (which I think are no longer made) that has better air porting. I really like it for testing markers without on/offs and also I use it on my shoebox shocker.

So, I'd take a look at the air porting on the one you get and decide if it works for you

Tiberius also used to make an on/off extender that was basically a slide check between the ASA and tank. Only thing is, I don't know if it vents the air between it and the bonnet. The one the op linked does.

Another benefit of the slide check remote line is that it allows you to just fill the line with air, and turn off the tank. It's beneficial if you're testing for a BIG leak, and don't want to risk draining the better part of the tank.
