Slow recharge ANS Gen X2

I have ANS Gen X2 vertical regs on several of my pumps and one of them is recharging very slowly. If I shoot about 1 ball every 2-3 seconds it is fine but any faster and I can shoot it down low enough the valve opens and I get air leaking down the barrel.

I have narrowed it down to this one reg by swapping tanks, markers, fittings, hoses etc but to be honest I am not an aficionado of regulator guts. Any ideas where to look for the problem. I am guessing something is obstructed.

Just rebuild it. Chances are the rings are worn and it's our of grease if you have never opened it up. If the piston is sticking out can cause recharge problems but there is no obstruction

Rebuild kits are to be had from ANS Gear.

I also have a faulty gen x2, the piston seal was completely disintegrated. Are these things worth the time to rebuild? I hate the ergonomics of them, but it would be fine on a pump. I see the rebuild kits don't include that seal, is there a place to get them?

The problem with rebuilding a GX2 reg is that, after you rebuild it, you are still stuck with a GX2 reg.

Some worked fine, others not so much. Older ones were sealed, so no rebuild unless you want to do major surgery. I just hucked the one I had after it decided to get shitty with me and replaced it with an AA Vigilante (to keep it old school cool ).

Thanks, that's what I was wondering. By the time I ship $5 of parts to Canada it would cost around $20. That's 20% of the way to a sidewinder...think that's what I'll do.
