Bought a magfed marker, now I need a pod pack(?) to hold the mags

I barely have any fully functioning markers, so I don't know what possessed me to pick up a TMC. But I did, and now I have to urge to try it out in a game or 2. After some research, it appears that I'll need a special holder to carry the magazines as all I currently own are standard pod packs. Any recommendations or tips for finding the right magazine holder/vest?

I did find this link that was a bit helpful. The "GFIRE Modular Vest" caught my attention. Does anyone have any feedback on that vest?

Not sure what type of paintball vest to buy for magfed paintball? Don't worry, I was once in your exact position. Come find out the top 5 vests for magfed paintball.

    Thanks!

I prefer to use a simple battle belt and mag pouches with my magfed gear. A plate carrier is overkill if you ask me.

I use cheap AK chest rigs for my TMC and Eclipse magazines. They breathe better than a vest, and are much less expensive.

Your standard pod pack may work - I used one with flexible sides with my DAM mags last weekend and it worked fine.

Valken cross draw vests are pretty affordable , and have pre sewn double stacked mag pouches

I use an old school 100rd pod pack if I'm playing magfed only rec play, and my Dye mags fit very snugly inside. 140rd packs probably also work, but might not be as tight. If you're going to use a pod pack, you'll want it fully enclosed, with horizontal orientation.

Other than that, whatever AR/AK mag pouches will fit paintball rifle mags nicely.

I’m with JonM I just use an AK belt pouch and it doesn’t require extra heavy gear. How many mags do you plan on carrying?

Thanks for the input so far. I hadn't previously thought about how sweaty one of those vests may make me and the breathability. I plan to run my tank on a remote line so having shoulder straps seems necessary to me. And I do like how vests have those molle straps or whatever theyre called so I can add things to the vests. The other day I remembered that I had this molle pod pack I had picked up in a paintball lot a while back which could be useful for a time. So I guess now I'm looking for feedback on vests
