Yup i agree current paint sucks. The best paint i have used in the last several years was a old 10-15 year old case of marbilizer (2004ish vintage). It broke as if new. Was still round. Was a constant size and shot better than anything that was bought new for that weekend by anyone else that i played with.

At the last event I went to, I had roll outs at 680....
I wouldn't go larger than that for sure

My vote is for .680 as well. Paint has definitely shrunk these days. And the larger stuff hits around .683ish. I run .681 in my phantom and never have issues

I run a .680 bore in my longbarrel PGP and it runs great. Don't think I've ever had issues with it. breaking paint that was too large.

I read it wrong the large is 0.695 not 0.690.
There is no plan to have detents. I guess it could be done but it adds complexity.

Should be fine with 680 especially if you are not running a detent System.

I'd stick to the larger bore. Paint is def smaller these days, but the definition of 'round' has skewed over the years as well.

Current paint size
So im working on a possible build and have two tubing choices. 0.680 or 0.690. I know the 0.690 is large. How is the 0.680 compared to current paint offerings.Tags: None
