    Inception Valve and Hammer Question

Quick question before I order new parts. I'm going to order an Inception valve (HF olds school valve) for my sniper/cocker build. Is it worthwhile to order the ID hammer as well or just stick with stock one? I've only ever used stock valves in the past. The price isn't an issue at all. I've got ID valve spring and main spring kits already. Just hate to make an order, realize I need the hammer and get stuck with shipping again. And if it makes a difference, I have a stock WGP hammer current, and a stock Empire hammer from a Sniper in my parts bin.

Well, it depends on which WGP hammer you have. The stock hammer changed at some point, not really sure when tbh. Old 90s hammers weighed something like 30g, later ones weigh ~40. If you have the later/heavier hammer, I wouldn't bother. IIRC, ID hammers weigh somewhere in the 42-44g range, so it's not really going to be worth it.

The ID hammer does have the advantage of a nylon locking screw for both the lug and cocking rod.
But if you gently loctite those parts your performance will be roughly the same. Just a matter of whether that convenience is worthwhile to you.
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

Wouldn't get the hammer vs stock 2k cocker hammer.

I would get a CCM hammer if I was buying extra things for minor upgradefulness.

Surprisingly CCM actually has hammers in stock, as pretty much all their products are sold out. Unfortunately being in Canada the time and expense to order a single hammer for CCM make is very costly. ID stuff I can at least order in Canada.

They're great to deal with so always happy to send them my money for shiny paintball bits and pieces.
