Freak inserts smaller than 0.675?

Freak reball insert arrived. It is smaller than my .675 insert, tested with the small paint my field has been carrying and it’s too tight of a fit. Looks like what I need is a 0.673 insert… Finger detents it is!

For reference the paint is HK level 3 yellow shell & fill.

I was all in. Til I pulled the price up. 83 bucks for a 1 foot piece? Thats only gonna make one xl or 2x regular inserts? Yikes. Lol i bet it would be fun to chute though.

You might need to switch over to the Tech-T kits. The full kits include inserts smaller than .670

Based on this seems McMaster has something close:

Easy-to-Weld Grade 9 Titanium

Grade 9 titanium has less aluminum and vanadium than Grade 5, so it's easier to weld but not as strong.

Found a green reball insert that says its 0.670 on ebay. Gonna try that out and report back, if not finger detents are the backup plan.
