Should the Inside of My Tank Look Like This?

Pulled my generic/rebranded aluminum reg/tank apart for the first time in 7 years/20-30 000 cycles, and was wondering what the inside of my tank should look like (hopefully like it does). Got some black marks inside.

doesnt look bad ... if something is wrong with an aluminum tank, you wont be able to tell by eye ...

Your going to get dirt and contamination in the tank over time. It don’t hurt anything unless it’s extreme and it gets in the reg it can give you issues. But that’s nothing to be concerned about.

That's actually how most problems with aluminum tanks are found ...

Hence why aluminum scuba tanks have a visual inspection requirement every year

Now granted those are for breathable air but still, the requirement is there for a reason
