    Tippmann C3

A guy locally has Tippmann C3 up for sale. Is this thing worth the hassle? Any known issues or hard to repair parts on these? What's the street value on these things?

I believe the last one I saw sold for ~$300 on eBooboo. I don't know anything about them except for they keep your hands toasty during winter play and get like 30,000 shots off a wee propane tank.

Nice, write up your thoughts and review. I've always been interested in them

I've made this, it's a good place to start:

Everything propane ... a depository for the C3
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

Best way to check for any possible issues, is get the guy to have someone take a picture of him holding up the C3 with both hands. Then count how many fingers he has.

Mine has a problem with misfires. The ignition wire shorts out on the body. I haven't really done anything with it, but a putting a better insulator on the piezo wire should fix it.

The other issue you can have with these is paint getting into the "fire pot" and needing to be cleaned out. I have a friend who used to use one and was scared to work on it so I used to take care of it when he was having problems and the majority of time it just needed a good tear down cleaning to start working reliably again. Sheldon was horrible about maintaining his gear
