Recommendation on which pink marker to get, please

    Greetings,

A lady friend of mine has got the notion that she wants a paintball marker of her own. She will most likely play with it very, very seldom, and she has no knowledge whatsoever on how to service paintball markers of any kind. However, if she ever actually plays with it, it would need to be a setup that is as light as possible, since she is about 4' 8", and weighs 80 lbs.

Also - it needs to be as pink as possible, although the occasional purple part is acceptable. Any Hello Kitty lasering and/or stickies would be a plus. She is Asian, so of course the marker needs to have Hello Kitty on it... Oh, and she would want it to be an electro, since she cannot be bothered with pulling the trigger any harder than necessary.

    So, which paintball marker would you recommend that would fulfill the criteria;

VERY pink - and as gloss pink as possible
    Light
    Electro
Very easy to use - turn on/off - switch batteries
As little maintenance as possible - preferably none
    Reliable
    Reasonable price range

I will be the one to set it up for her, although she might play when I'm not around. Hence the requirement that it needs to be as easy to use as possible, reliable, etc. For any major issues - i.e. anything beyond (and possibly including) switching batteries, I will be the one to do that. But hopefully she will be able to at least get it going on her own.

    Ha!

Honestly I wonder if you could just paint an Etha2 body, or an Emek. I know you want electro, but the simplicity and usable speed of an Emek would suit your needs nicely. Could even paint some Hello Kitty graphics on it too.

Also wanted to add maybe don't do TOO much hand holding. I understand wanting to make it easier/simpler for her, but I find that when people have some ownership/responsibility of something they tend to sink their teeth in deeper. I don't know this person like you do though so your mileage (kilometerage?) may vary.

Your input is very valid in most cases. However, my lady friend is lazy and spoiled (and she knows it) so she will never do any maintenance whatsoever. I would not be surprised if she calls me to come switch out the batteries for her, while lazily playing some mobile game, totally uninterested in learning even the very basics of her own marker.

Track down the pink Mini (or Axe maybe) I gave away last year for Walzmas. Was completely pink, electro. Exactly what you want.

Solid advice. Chef's kiss - Swedish Chef's kiss, in fact.

You are looking for contradictory qualities, you already know I'm sure. Probably an Etha with a small, light 45k from Ninja is the closest you'll get, but I'd have to let the others speak to maintenance on one. A full size hopper full of paint makes any marker heavy, especially if you carry half a case to feed it.

Yep, that was a large part of my conundrum, hence posting here, hopefully getting suggestions of a compromise of sorts, that I hadn't figured out myself.

I'll show the lady an Etha 2, to see whether it suits her esthetics.

Azodin's got a fuck ton of pink markers. A blitz should do the trick. My wife has a kp3 and she's pretty happy with it
I could have sworn I had something important to put here...

Interesting. I checked out their laser engraving service. Unfortunately no Hello Kitty in their standard collection. If that had been available, we had had a winner, no doubt.
      Working...
