    Stock Class Rigs

Need to get something for stock class set-up. Was looking at the PB Mafia 007 Rig.

I found a thread from 2020 with people weighing in, seems like the 007 Rig is pretty well liked. That, the "joyride" and the "LG-10", all for different reasons.

One thing people mentioned in the thread was what to do with used tubes / 12 grams, and running "dump bags" to throw the used items into.

Note: this would be my first stock class rig. I am of the "buy once, cry once" mindset, so price is not a HUGE issue. I don't want to spend $250 lol, but $50 for the 007 rig is acceptable.

I have a joyride and really like it. I run my tubes capless and without a dump pouch (I put my empty cigar tubes upside down back in the rig.)

You should also invest in a “drop 10” as well. I think Rainmaker is the one who prints them (I could use another myself)

PB Mafia Joyride would be my choice w/dump pouch. You do not have to have a dump pouch I have and do play on occasion just using the cargo pockets on my pants but prefer to just use a dump pouch. I used to used use a setup similar to the 007 I made myself (long before PB Mafia existed) but I find the Joyride comfortable, easy to setup and easy to pack away.

Joyride seems by far the most popular from what I've seen. I don't like running a dump pouch just because I don't want another thing hanging off of me. If I have time, I'll shove the tube back into the joyride upside down. If I'm in the middle of a fight, I'll just drop the tube or shove it into my pocket. It's not really a problem with shorter games.. or games that end up being short for me due to my skill level... 😄

Edit: These are cool too if you can find one and like the 007 style. They have a dump pouch built in behind the tubes.
I’ve unfortunately never played stock class or owned a pump until 2 days ago (cobra). This seemed like it should go to someone who will use it . $30 E2B5209F-016D-4750-8823-968A4C4E29C7.jpeg

Lots of preference and play style comes into play with how to carry tubes.

I think the joyride is definitely the easiest to transition from regular play to Stock class It’s the same motion. Wether you use a dump pouch or a cargo pocket that’s up to you. But the Joyride holds a bunch for quick turn over games and works great. Newer SC players tend to shoot more (I know I did) the joyride Holds a bunch. They run Capless tubes so one less thing to lose or fumble with. I really like this rig. Down side is you have to remove it to re fill. Velcro off Velcro on. I actually made a custom rig that use’s a Duty belt so I can clip it on and off with a tactical belt buckle. (This gets pricy) If you wanted this style The Joyride is the way to go.

If you don’t slide at all or really get low the LG -10 setup works well. I found I broke tubes with it all the time. It didn’t fit my play style. I want it closer for a faster change out/load. I slide dip dive dodge last thing I want to think about is breaking tubes on my side. (not for me)

The 007 rig was nice I ran them capless one less thing to fumble with just pull fill flip and I slid them back in upside down. It worked well. But I'm fluffy and usually play in a heavy denim jersey like a Renagade or Evil Gerbil jersey. I wanted the rig tight so it didn’t move around but felt awkward with it like that with my jersey setup. If you played in something tight fitting this is a great setup. Tubes can be adjusted to the sides above your hips or more in the front like a puller vest. (For me this didn’t work)

My personal favorite is the Gauntlet setup. (Wrist rig) I run two one on each hand. With this setup you don’t get much for capacity. One set I have hold 5 tubes each and one set I have holds 6 so (100-120 shots). I run tethered caps so they don’t get lost and after breaking them in loading a tube can be done one handed. I can open a tube fill and close the tube one handed then slide it back in the wrist rig without ever taking my eye off target. Everything is kept in front and close. I run an elastic butt Stock shot gun shell holder around the inside of my wrist under the gauntlet to hold 12g. I don’t like having them on the knuckles like most are designed. Down side to this setup is every time you snap shoot you expose a nice hard surface for paint to break on. Even a long range shot breaks constantly on a group of tubes like it would a mask. For me I don’t mind the trade off of not having to run a dump pouch, not having to remove the pack to fill and the speed at which I can load.

With that I would recommend starting with the joyride it’s a great pack that is durable and works great.

Also the drop 10 tube loader is really nice. I keep a hopper just outside the net with a drop 10 on it so I can speed feed a bunch of tubes and be ready for the next point quickly. It’s very helpful when playing open play with hopperators.

ANS's own brand called "Warrior" has clones of the 007 rig, as well as the 5/50 pack. I would definitely recommended PB Mafia, and can't attest to the quality of these but they are less expensive (currently on sale for $20 as I post this). 007 version, 5/50 version

I got a good size hard canvas drop bag for my empties. It has a drawstring too so I can since it up. It was like 10 bucks on ebay. Molle compatible too. I just use it on a cheap shotgun belt. I can carry up to 180 rounds just with that and my barrel swab takes up the last 2 loops, but it's much more user friendly to only use every other loop. I would like to get a drop leg tube holster for some extra capacity.

Nah I'm still transitioning from semi. It just helps me to know I have enough paint.

Also I only use every other loop so I only carry 90 + 10 in the gun

Joyride holds 15 tubes and I think they make one that holds 20 to. I carry 10 but when I run out I just steal a few out of Slims pack while he chats in the staging area.

I have one of the WTF 007ish style capless rigs. I don't remember what it is called.
But it is super comfy and easy to use. It puts the tubes more towards the front and is very well made.

I'm a Joyride fan. I don't run a dump pouch, just flip the tubes and reinsert. It can take a little practice to get used to, but it's like second nature now. 12grams go into the pants pocket and thrown out in between games. It's rare I go through more than 1 or 2 in a game. Joyride is about as minimal and out of the way as I could hope for.

Honestly, if using caps always just liked going with a shotgun shell belt.
DBD made a great rig that I believe was modeled after the joyride that I also really like and am using now when I play stock class.

I've tried a few different setups for dump pouches and found that I prefer to have pockets I can shove stuff in. Dangling dump pouches were constantly getting snagged or a belt style one seemed to be a pain to get to when playing.

Couple of years ago I got this Molle tube holder and love it. Store paint capless facing up then put empties in upside down. That also helps grabbing next tube without looking as you can feel which ones are empty. Just picked up the shotgun shell holder last week to hold 12gr.

If I ran a drop pouch I have one I will use can see in first pic. Has zipper on top I can just leave a corner open to put in tube if wanted.

Do you remember where you got this molle tube holder and 12g holder?
I have a 5 tube molle pack but I did not succeeded yet finding another one to cary 10 total...

One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is the Joyride belt is TINY. Even when I was somewhat skinny it barely fit me and relative to most pod packs it's not that great of a belt.

I picked up one of the Carbon MOLLE packs and intended to run that like a nicer Joyride once I get the right pouches for it from WTF or someone.
