What is the fastest recharge rate tank reg

What is the fastest recharge rate talk reg? Old or new. I'm building a gun I've been told is going to outpace most any reg.

Plan is to start on the slow end and ramp up the speed until I run into recharge issues.

I don't know much ab out regs, but I always tried to stick to Ninja. I had a mag shooting 36bps at 1100 psi and I never say shoot-down.

Yeah nobody really measures recharge rates any more since the bps caps really started falling

      I'd stick with ninja

      What is your build?

        The build uses xvalves.

Xvalves...like plural? Man I can't wait to see this creation!

Seems like all the modern day regs are pretty close. docfire did a regulator comparison a couple years ago and did a couple YouTube videos on it. If I recall correctly, I think for recharge rate the CP Reg edged out the others.

WTB Micromag Foregrip, ICD Sight Rail, SP Gadget Grip(no barrel plug version), Purple VL2000

I think he was able to get crazy recharge from a Dye Hyper reg, after playing with the Belleville washer configurations. That was a cool series he did.

Well I currently use Ninja regs so I will give those a shot.

I would Change the bonnet out for pin valves those ball valves choke horrible. You can use the older brass 3k bonnets they are identical.

Good to know. My normal pressure reg is one of the ball type. I remember buying it and everything was " the ball flows better"

I have no clue what type my shp is. Haven't used it in years.

Not sure about flow rate but my powerhouse is super consistent. I believe they make the best tank regulators. They dyno each reg I’m sure they could give you the exact flow rate if you sent them an email. There CS is really really good to.

If this involves an Automag, go with the SHP or Powerhouse. They're adjustable, so if you plan on RT'ing, you'll need that.

Heck, you can buy a Powerhouse straight from Airgun Designs. I believe they even have the lions engraved on them.

I ran a Powerhouse at 30 balls per second as shown in the snippet below. Only had around 75 psi drop when set at ~610. I’ll run a couple more off at that speed if you want. My guess is most regs can handle it to a varying degree.

                Pin valves are the fastest.

For multiple X valves you're just going to need a really high output reg, I would say a ninja SHP. Powerhouse is overpriced and won't keep your gun from starving any better.

A good adjustable max flow that has been fresh rebuilt is nice because you can just crank the knob up.

Probably not in this thread but can you post your testing rig somewhere and how you got these findings? I'm super curious about that. I love fact based stuff like this

Sure thing. I made a list when others have asked. Let me find it and I’ll PM it your way.
