    Super Early WGP Black Magic?

So I snagged something locally that I thought was an AIM Unibody, but after comparing it to images it is not. It's also not a WGP Unibody but I thought it looked a lot like a Black Magic without the flames. I found this PBN post which pictures an orange early version of the BM before the flame milling and looks like what I got, but mine doesn't have the WGP logo milled on the side. Very interesting.

Only image I have, before it was stripped and cleaned then sent off to have the rear gripframe hole repaired. The purple fade anodized seems home homebrew, but I'll keep it that way for now. Maybe redo it later in a solid gloss. Got bunch of parts on the way to make this a cool sniper. Had a mish-mash of weird parts or parts that aren't my taste. Oh yeah and needed a strap wrench to get the feedneck off, and the CP reg which needed all 3 sections strap wrenched LOL.

Does it have a wgp serial number stamped in?

If so.... Basically these are an in house wgp custom. I think Jeff Orr machined them for staff and friends it later evolved into black magics. Iirc they were 2k.stos with out the crap milling.

I had one of these in green

I forgot to check for the serial before sending to BMC. Nice, I could see myself redoing this one in green.

This does appear to be an STO to me, but far from expert on that.

Sto's have the weird knurled looking oval cuts.

These lack that and the jewel cut

Ecapnation, you are correct, I had to go back and look at a picture of one as it had been a while.

I should also mention this has the same cuts in front of the feedneck (breech side) that the BM does.
