    Cs2

Looking at getting a cs2 with a mech frame to take up to the Pittsburgh open. As of now I’m just going to be using an autococker but what do y’all think of the cs2 with a mech frame, I’ve heard good things but I’m on the ropes about it.

Im curious as to your reasoning. I am currently looking into buying something a little more modern and reliable. Isnt the cs2 models ahead of the Etha3M?

It's basically the same exact platform when boiled down to basics

Gamma core? Yup, technically the CS2 has a gamma pro but same thing really.
      Quick release bolt? Yup
      Pops on off ASA? Yup
      Lighter adjustable trigger? Yup

Why spend 1200 ish on a CS2 and 200 on the frame?

They both use the Gammacore, where as the CS2 uses the Gammacore Pro (GP). I had a CS2 with mech frame, I only used it in that configuration, and in terms of ergonomics was the most comfortable marker out all the Eclipse mechs. I'd rank it like this: CS2, Emek, M170R. The 170R feels too tiny. The Emek with Inception scout body is now my favorite because I like a taller feedneck. Plus the grips on the Emek feel better than the M170R to me.

The CS2 is definitely the best made, better tolerances, just an amazing marker. The mech frame especially is super well thought out and has a more "premium" feel, but if you're looking for higher rates of fire then an Emek or M170R with a hair valve and nice trigger will be able to shoot faster. I realized I didn't really NEED that high end of a marker and did a 2 for 1 trade, which is how I ended up with my current Emek that I'm loving.

If you can afford it and don't need to blast tons of paint, mech CS2 is amazing. Not that it's slow or anything but doesn't have as light/quick of a valve. Still super awesome. Emek with some upgrades will also shoot incredibly well and not let you down. Same with M170R if you like the feel.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like the 170r..... It shoots great but is way too spindly

I think I have to agree that the ergonomics of the Emek have been my favorite out of the 3. The M170R felt too weedy, the CS2 had that weird bump right under the trigger guard and felt off, the Emek fills my hand well and if I was buying another one, it would be the Emek or 3Mek.

I kept seeking something more "premium" but always ended back with the Emek. With an Inception Designs body of some kind, an adjustable trigger, upgraded valve... pretty much perfect. Speaking of triggers, one thing the other two have that the Emek doesn't is externally adjustable spring tension. That is until Liquid came out with their Tension trigger, which I have on the way.

Having both a CS2 with mech frame and an M170R, I agree with most of what has been said here already.

The only real advantage of the CS2 is that the mech trigger has the nice roller bearing in it as compared to the other Gamma Core guns. It's debatable how much better it actually makes it though. Really comes down to personal preference. Other than that the only other real advantage is that you can quickly switch back and forth between electro and mech frames if where and what you play can utilize both, so it saves you from having to own a specific mech gun, if that's a cost concern.

Otherwise, I feel like my M170R is just as nice as the CS2 with mech frame. I upgraded mine with the hAir45 and Inception Fang trigger, and honestly I think it's my favorite mech gun of all the ones I own (even over the various Cockers). It just shoots so fast and smooth it's crazy to me. I'm surprised others in this thread don't like the feel of it. For me personally, I like the foregrip on the M170R more than on the Emek, but again it's all personal preference. My M170R is also the Predator special edition, so it's another reason I like it better. It's such a amazing looking gun to me.

Honestly, it's just splitting hairs between the various Gamma Core guns performance-wise as others have said here. Try holding each and just pick which one you like the feel of most. They're all going to perform similarly.

Get an Etha3M. I have one and a CS2 with a mech frame....honestly, they shoot almost the same as a mech CS2, and the Etha3m is miles less expensive, even if you get a nice barrel kit and such to go with it. Excellent redesign of the EMEK platform with the upgrades everybody wants right out of the box. It's the only mid-range marker I've ever truly LOVED right out of the box. The only thing I wanna do is put a more adjustable trigger on it, but that's not even a necessity since the stock marker is pretty amazing.

My Etha3M has become my main shooter for anything that ain't pump. It's cheap, chipper, and reliable as hell. I enjoy how it shoots, I never feel outgunned even when shooting against the electros, and its gas efficiency is stupidly good. PE really knocked this one out of the park. I am finding myself picking my Etha3m over my CS2, mostly cuz I can absolutely abuse the ever-living crap out of my Etha3m and not worry about hurting its pretty little face (looking at you CS2....)
Rockin' a Phantom and a T2...CCI & CCM for the win.
