    Thinner Gloves for Cold Weather?

I want to give outdoor play when it's cold and snowy another shot. I can layer up and stay warm, but I always find that my hands are never quite warm enough.

Seeing what others have had success with. I want to avoid bulky gloves so I can still fit my finger in the trigger guard and grab other items without limited mobility. The thought of glove liners + thinner gloves seems like it would still be limited in movement. Any recommendations, or will I need to sacrifice some hand movement for warmth?

    Look into thermal cycling gloves.

Depends on how cold you plan to play. I originally played with a mechanix/rubberized work gloves under half finger paintball gloves, with a hot paw sitting in my palm, and at -5 to -10C I'd still get pretty cold even while moving around. I have some circulation issues though.

Last year I tried some milsurp trigger mittens and they were much better. At those same temperatures, I'd be very comfortable, even while not moving, and even having my hands laying in snow. They come with liners, but I wouldn't recommend them, as they're very restrictive, and not necessary for typically playing conditions. I had no problems shooting a 98. If your gun's trigger guard is on the smaller side, they might not be for you. A double trigger would be good to go.

I have been pretty happy with these for cold weather work in the shop and when playing paintball too. They aren't water proof so don't use them in the snow.

I have not played paintball with them, but I have a pair of Under Armour gloves that I really like and might fit your needs.

Of course clothing companies constantly redesign all their crap even faster than paintball companies but they are something like this:

Under Armour makes game-changing sports apparel, athletic shirts, shoes & accessories. FREE SHIPPING available + FREE Returns on workout clothes, shoes & gear.

I get shot in the fingers way too much apparently. I HATE getting shot in the fingers.

Never really bothered me. I use to do welding and fabrication so my hands are use to getting beat up.

Go to home depot and try on a bunch and buy some you like. Easiest way to go. Gloves rule you can death grip your gun when your hands a are covered in sticks and paint and it really doesn't bother you one bit. Once you're in the heat of battle you don't even notice that you can't sense the delicate touches on your finger tips. pew pew pew

I've gone that route and it has been hit-or-miss. I bought a pair of gloves that I thought would be amazing, but as soon as any paint got on them they became super slick and were pretty much worthless.

My favorite gloves are an old pair of Dye gloves (c. C4 era) I have. Leather palm, padding where needed, but still nice and lightweight. I'd love to find something similar to replace them...

I like plain string knit gloves. Worn either on their own or under fingerless gloves.

They also double as a cloth if you get gogged. The only real downside is they only last maybe 4-5 washings. But if you buy them in bulk they're cheap enough it doesn't really matter. They're good for all sorts of other things as well.

I've thrown heater packs into the palms of my gloved hands during cold play. Usually helps a bit

Naw thats nice weather!  Ive played 24 hour games that got down to freezing in the mornings, didn't help that it was a humid freezing either.  Thankfully we had some big ol propane heaters that kept the entire campsite warm and dry.
