    Anyone still use those?
first time I will try one

Any difference between the PTP Pro dot, Dye Izon or Armson OEG

PTP seem to still sell a similar one but mine seem like an early version

Armson USA and PTP are the same company, so I assume the PTP sight is just rebranded Armson.

From what I have heard, the dye izon sight has the weakest dot of all these style sights, even being beaten by its own the 32 degrees version.

That is indeed sad; the 32 deg version was really weak.

I use a couple of the Armson sights on pistols. The value is higher when you are unfamiliar with the way the marker points. Also handy when you are trying to drop a ball into a long shot spot repeatedly while shifting your focus back and forth to different targets.

This is based purely on second hand testimony. I own a proper dye one, and it is usable, but certainly nothing to write home about. I assume the 32 degrees ones were made in the same factory.

The DYE ones were useless. Even [with a fresh battery and]* looking into a darker area, the dot was barely visible.

Hah! I've been looking at red dot sights all morning. Batteries on the brain, assault and battery on the schedule... Good catch. Either way, the dot was terribly weak.

One of our guys uses one, when he uses a vertical feed. Dunno what brand but he swears by it. Which I can attest because I've definitely been shot by him, lol.

Armson is the mil version used alot in SA in LE and their standing army. I used an armson for years and lived them...I regret selling them. I personally found the 32 degrees version (or at least the one I own) has nice crisp dot ..even the dye version is no too bad ..dot is most likely not as crisp as its shrouded

I have two Armsons, a 32 Degrees Magnum, and have had one of the original DYE sights. Of these, the Armson versions are the best, with the 32 Degrees one a close second- its main drawback is that the mounting screws are finnicky and require a very tall, narrow rail to be able to bite in. The DYE version is extremely poor, with a very dim and fuzzy reticle. I was able to greatly improve the one I had by rebuilding it with a custom aperture I made from aluminum foil, but reassembling it was one of the most frustrating things I've ever done.
