    Reg stuck in tank help

Would of pulled the bench and vice over if we pulled any harder. The guys on the discord think they put a thread locker or super glue on it. Really want to save the bottle. Was my walzmas gift from nobbie333

Wont it ruin the annealing of the aluminum?

Yeah i guess. If its not siezed, it should break loose. And if it is siezed than the bottle is dead. .

Heat it a lil bit and crank it off. It will break loose or rip the threads out of the tank. It’s probably Red locktite the Devils sauce...

Put it in a tub of hot water for 10 minutes then strap wrench. Worked for me on a few tanks.

"Heat" like a heat gun or a good hair dryer on high. I've used a propane torch before, but I paid close attention that I wasn't overheating the tank.

Pipe wrench isn't a bad idea if the reg is already ruined (remove the burst disc, gauge and fill nipple first, of course) but keep in mind that if you can't physically remove the reg (IE, loosen the loctite first) it's all to easy to just shear the threads off the reg, leaving them stuck in the bottle.

I have managed to save a couple bottles so plugged, but it's usually not worth the time and effort.

red loctite comes off at 500F according to their website.
Heat, and patience. keep working at it and take your time.
