    ID for Tippman A5 Stock

This came with the Tippmann that I bought on eBay. I'm missing something. Do any of you have this stock?

I think I have one like that in a box somewhere. It has an internal rear velocity adjuster, adjusted by turning the knurled rings. I'll try to find it this afternoon.

I appreciate it. That makes perfect sense because the spring sits too far back in there.

if you have it set too far back, the spring will link ...

Ok, I'm at work but looking forward to messing with it. Do you remember who made it by chance? The "hammer looking" piece looks like it had two set screws that are missing. Do you see anything missing in the photos?

Darn it, still haven't found the darn thing. I may have a few too many boxes of parts and doodads.

Going from memory though, there should be a pin or a few screws (I think it was a roll pin, could be wrong) going through the "hammer looking" part locking it into the two long grooves in the short tube and longer stock tube. The knurled rings should have one on each side of the pin/screws, with the third ring as a sort of locking ring.

You seem to be missing a part. Silver, bit of a taper on one end, long skinny rod on the other. Acts as a spring guide. Sits loosely inside of the rear cap, so easy to lose.

No idea on who made it. The one I have (or maybe had, I don't remember selling it though), came in a big box of parts I got with a gun I bought on this very forum.

The spring guide is definitely missing.
the guide itself is a tad short, if you have it not engage enough it will kink the spring with the hammer.

I always thought it was a Spec-Ops stock, they did a lot of Milsim upgrades for the 98 and A5 back in the days.

Middle ring adjust the depth of the guide (cone shape piece), the 2 outer rings lock it in place.

Above and beyond Fubairus and Xenon. Thank you. I would have never guessed the missing part looked like that.

You're welcome, happen to be working on it.
Its machine out of a single steel (or stainless? I need to put a magnet on it).

Might be able to make a print out of it if you have a lathe.

Thank you Xemon, but I've no lathe and I'm just going to keep this in my parts bin. A project for another day!
