I’m looking for more info on who made the custom puncture pin adapter, to remove the puncture pin assembly. I’m looking to pick one up or does anyone have a spare they’re willing to sell? They look like this.

I have one if someone needs measurements. They are handy and don’t take up a lot of room in the toolbox.
I could probably 3D print one easy. Probably won’t be as strong but it’s not like they are usually really torqued on there.
Lots of guys notch a wide regular screw driver to clear the piercing pin as well.
Something like this and you just trim it up with a cut off wheel.

I’ll take a 3d printed one if you if have the time to make one. I always used a screw driver wide enough, but I always end up scratching the walls which I hate. A 3d printed one would prob be better so it won’t scratch the walls as much.

I will check Home Depot tomorrow see what they have for the pin material. See if I can mock something up. I don’t think I can 3D print the entire thing. Maybe I can find like a roll pin or something.

I'm making a couple shortly - I'll try to find this thread when i have some ready.Feedback

I drew up a test print now. It's in the oven.
I don’t think it’s going to be strong enough the pin hole has to be so close to the edge.
Well, it works I was able to remove and reinstall it. Put a good amount of torque on it and it seems like it’s strong enough for the job. Just need to source the material for the cross pin. Stainless or Brass would definitely be a better choice, but printing is an option.Last edited by Chuck E Ducky; 11-29-2025, 09:39 PM.

Looks great, it will prob hold for awhile, if you don’t go to hard on it. Stress test?

Seems fine I can infill it more I don’t think it will help the area where the pin sits but the “handle” part will be stronger. I left it squared so you could put an adjustable on it. But honestly I just oil the oring and put them in hand tight. You really don’t need a ton of torque to get them to seal. I think it will work fine unless you run into one that’s loctite in.

These were made by MaD. He did make two variations. I don’t believe he is on MCB 2.0. Not to be confused with Big Matt customs.Originally posted by InfamousCesar View PostI’m looking for more info on who made the custom puncture pin adapter, to remove the puncture pin assembly. I just made the top half of one, and it does what it's supposed to.
I'll flip it over and machine a hex on the bottom so you can put it on a screwdriver/ nut driver. I tend to the pierces after about a 4" reach into a Phrame so I thought that would be handy.
3/8" OD so they fit into the CCI bucket nicely, too.
If anyone wants one, shoot me a PM or comment - I'll run a handful while I'm set up.
I'm gonna throw away my custom-ground screwdriver tonight.
Edit: cut the hexes on the bottom. Six done, can make more as needed.Last edited by flyweightnate; 12-05-2025, 10:58 PM.Feedback
