Original WGP Sniper 1 W/Smart Parts Wood Grips

This popped up in local classifieds:

What's one of these worth these days? Assuming it's untested and probably hasn't been shot in ages.

If the grips are blue or green likely $100 alone... The base gun, a sniper 3, figure like 150

That is a WGP (stock) Sniper III that looks pretty original (except barrel and grips) and with the one picture in pretty good shape. To someone who is collecting and needs a Sniper III I would say that is a solid $250 and on a good day as much as $300 but that would be at the very luck top end. The SP grips are definitely period correct as the original WGP panels were not great and many players ordered replacement grips at the same time they purchase these markers.

I think that is a smart parts big daddy barrel as well, might be worth something on its own too.

          Great grab!

Are you sure that’s not just a teardrop? The holes around the porting look like they have that weird oval cut they did with the tear drops, and the portion under the pump handle looks thicker too

The Big Daddy is a glued two-piece barrel, with the front having the "Teardrop"-style porting. The backs were available in .684, .687, and .691, with different colors corresponding to the different bore diameter. My Shocker-threaded 18" .684" has a steel gray colored aft section. If I remember right, black was .687, and silver was .691". I believe it came out before the one-piece Teardrop barrel, which had a much shorter section nearer the threads with the larger outer diameter.
