Ok, time to wrap up this thread and finally provide the "After Action Report" for all who were there and those who couldn't make it...

There were two big changes at Adventure Games this year. First is the new parking area, which is enormous. It's still under construction with drainage and perimeter field netting being worked on. There was plenty of room for camping, which was a good thing as there were a lot of players staying overnight. The second is the addition of "Snack Shot" - the new on-site catering service which features an inspired menu of delicious meals, as well as beer and wine for anyone who is done playing for the day. It's clear that Aric, the owner of AG, is committed to creating a world-class experience for his guests, and is sparing no expense to do so. I'm extremely happy to work with a partner that values our group and goes out of his way to provide us with an unforgettable good time.

On Saturday we held the Wild West Scenario games. There was a total of 27 players registered with quite a few players dressed in Western gear. One player (Atom-Jaay) made his own Western-style SC gun! He also made 3D-printed sheriff badges and SC belt buckles to give out to all attendees! All the games were fun despite the almost 90° temps and humidity. It was awesome to see all of the Western-style SC guns being used, along with custom leather holsters and cowboy hats! The quick draw competition didn't go so well, so we made the call to to the whole thing over on Sunday as we had completely botched the new rules. Thankfully the rain held off with only a few random sprinkles coming down.

The campout was a big hit as well. The Snack Shot was open late with discounted prices on food and drinks. AG let us use their big commercial grill again, and there were steak fajitas, teriyaki chicken and a flaming bacon surprise! The laser tag area was open and the bon fire helped keep some of the black flies at bay. The 10pm Toast was great with AG providing a wide variety of shots to all players in attendance - and they even had champagne! Now that is a toast!!!

The main event on Sunday had a total of 53 registered players. The heat and humidity weren't as bad as Saturday, but it was still plenty warm. The games were all great. Thanks to everyone for putting up with the mid-game photoshoot involving smoke grenades. We had three people taking photos and video, so we're still working on getting all that content posted. Overall, the event was another great success with the usual skill, sportsmanship and camaraderie that has become the hallmark of stock-class play. The winner of the Quick Draw contest was "Capital Dave" from RI (AGAIN!), and Derek B. from Florida won the 2021 Sportsmanship award.

The total attendance for both days was 56 players - which is impressive considering we're just coming out of a pandemic. Many thanks to our refs, staff and management at AG, as well as the staff at the new Snack Shot. And a very special thanks to all the players who traveled from far and wide to participate in this event. You guys are the reason these games are so great to participate in! Special thanks to Vito and Aric for taking awesome photos and videos. Aric from AG took over 2,000 images (which are still downloading as I write this now). These pics are extremely helpful in showing others just what a great time stock-class can be. We're already looking forward to Stocktoberfest and anticipate an even bigger turnout!

Thanks again and keep it stock classy,
    Slim

Thanks for hosting this, I couldn’t stay the whole day but it was a really fun time!

Having never played stock class before I had no idea what to expect, it definitely gives you some maneuvering advantages. Removing the tank and not having a stock for my phantom left me laughing at how wildly inaccurate I became, I actually stopped trying to snap shoot so I wouldn’t hit my teammates. I guess there’s a reason it’s not called stockless class.

It's taken me two days just to go through the media from just myself and Vito, and I didn't even get all of the best stuff. I have no idea when AG will get me their images/vids, but I have to assume all the combined content could be well over 10GB of data. I just don't have the time to sort through it all, upload it, and then come up with rules that I know no one will adhere to. I'm not a huge fan of FB, but for simplicities sake, that ungodly platform seems to be the easiest way to have folks view the images.

What about dropping them into something like google drive, put some "rules" on them

Vito sent me all of the photos and videos he took. So far it's almost 4GB of data and AG hasn't sent me theirs yet, which I know will be triple what we took. I uploaded almost 100 of the best images to Facebook. Uploading them to the StockClassHQ,com website would require an entire redesign of the Gallery section, and posting them here will be cumbersome as well due to the sheer volume of images. I just don't have the time to do any of that that now, so FB it is. I'll post a link and hopefully everyone should be able to see them as the Stock Class HQ page is open to the public.

I know not of what you speak.
As far as I, or anyone else knows, I strictly adhered to the field policy to consume only the fine beer and toasting nips provided. Any talk of other libations, including, but not limited to... more fine beer, cider, bourbon and tequila can not be confirmed or denied. And at Slim’s next shindig I look forward to not enjoying similar beverages from the comfort of my fancy, new PodRocker.

Ohhhhh, I didn't know you had a combat roll. That up's the ante!

That's what happens at 1 am after you drink half a bottle of bourbon.

Quick shout out to Mr. HoneyB Lachance for the sweet, sweet honey and the tip for the PodRocker, which I apparently drunk ordered some time Saturday night. Surprise... it arrived today and has got to be the bestest camp chair ever.

OK, ok... hold on to your horses! It takes time for me to Photoshop off all of the fat and ugliness from the pics of me!!! All seriousness aside, there are a TON of pics to go through and I'm still waiting for Vito, Griff and Aric at AG to send me all of theirs. I'll be posting everything I have on StockClassHQ.com and then linking them here and on social media as soon as possible.
