    Boise Idaho Area?

I lived in Idaho for about 6 years and at that time there was just the indoor/outdoor field True Paintball. Formerly known as...I forget. But that place burned down. Then there is Pyrrhic which opened after I moved away, played at the old Nampa location when visiting a couple years back and looks like they moved to a bigger/better location in Caldwell. Still have yet to play there.

Curious if anyone on MCB is in the Boise area, how often you play, if there are other places you go to - like Ontario Paintball just over the Oregon border (haven't been there yet).

Probably not much help for you but I went to Boise to play a tournament probably 10 or so years ago (don't remember the name of the field) but when we arrived they told us the venue changed and they sent us to Oregon and I believe it was Ontario paintball. Fields were decent and fairly well run (back then) but main thing I remember was hiding in my car until game time then running out and playing then hiding back in my car because the mosquitoes would drain about a pint of blood every time I stepped outside

Myself and a few others hit up Pyrrhic Paintball about every other week depending on the work schedule. It’s a decent field to play at that gets around 20-30 walk-on players each weekend. The Boise area paintball scene is definitely not what it was 15 years ago, but still decent. I haven’t been to the Ontario field as of yet, but we keep talking about trying it out.

Right on. I might be moving back to the area, so wanted to get a feel for what it's like.

So write-up time, the Ontario field is great if you have a large group or want to play speed-ball, they have pretty regular speed-ball practices on Saturdays but during the season it does change, mainly due to out of town tournaments. They sell paint for about the same price as you can order it online with similar quality, or if you would like they do offer BYOP with a charge. If you are playing on a speed ball day there is a 4500 fill currently, with a 3000 fill always available. There does not seem to be a lot of walk ons and it is more centered around mass group texts if you are going. There is very little referring and most of the game is on the honor system. Prices are significantly lower than the other local field but that field has a more organized walk on game. If you want to be informed when "walk-ons" are playing or when there is a speed-ball day i would recommend reaching out to the owner Nathan as he generally knows and can help make your trip good. Field speeds are 280 fps and their rentals are either currently emeks with PALs or moving to emeks with PALs. I think that is pretty much it. If there are any thoughts, questions or anything else i would be happy to answer them.
