I think the conclusion will be that a good condition, properly functioning tank reg from any brand will serve just fine. Very cool tech and testing anyway. I enjoyed the previous inline regulator dyno testing as well.

Wow. Thank you for doing this. I have empire regs on the majority of my tanks and have been eyeballing PH regs and fancy regs...you just saved me some $!

If your current regulator is working then I would save your $$$. Just keep an eye on it in terms of output pressure creep and bonnet thread condition so you can have an upgrade, backup, or replacement ready to go if or when it does start to give problems.
