Doc’s excellent work, and odd markers.

Just got this back from Doc, as a project piece “Can it be done?” kind of crazy hairbrained scheme. Old school unibody Brute nelson clone, whose only notable features was a mighty smooth pump action and a remarkably close grip frame bolt spacing to some nice ones I just acquired. As usual he handled (no pun intended) my request with professionalism and care, and honestly knocked it out of the park. Even tossed on a pair of grips as an early Christmas bonus, which saves me a ton of hassle trying to track some down. Very appreciated and I’m posting this up with a grin on my face, and to add to the monumental heap of praise he rightly deserves. Pictures in no particular order, cause phone posting kinda sucks.

    Thanks again Doc!
(and for skipping the nuclear reactors, good enriched stuff is hard to come by..)

    Nice!

Dear Doc - Please make as many nelson 007 bodies with freak barrels or wedgit type functionality as you can. Thanks.

Nice! If you squint just right you might even confuse it for a carter lol.

Wow thats cool! Love that groovy style frame.

It dose have a Termite / early Buzzard look to it.

What’s the ID of that handle I might have a black Aluminum gnarled handle that would look great on that. It’s like an old bushmaster style one. I bet it would look great on that.

You're not wrong, does remind me of that now that I look at it (and squint! xD)

I gave it a check with the ol notchmaster (Digital caliper sans batteries, thank goodness for measurements on the sliding bar too...) looks like it's a hair over an inch ID on the front, and 1.25 inches ID on the back. Barrel is definitely a 1 inch OD so yeah. Thanks for the offer, I'd be willing to give it a look and slide a reasonable amount your way for it if it'll work.

So the ID of the handle is 1”

The arms are 1 and 1/4” wide and 3 and 3/8” from the back of the handle to the center of the pump arm hole long. So it would have approx 3 and 1/4” throw. It’s got cool quick strip clamps on the ends. “Tag on it says unique sporting & strategic supply” I got it here and had plans to mod a Phantom to except it. But I feel you may have a better use for it. You might need different bolt mount screws but I think it might work for you. If you want it it’s yours. Pm me your address Happy Walzmas.

Got it in today Chuck, and besides some minor butting up against the feedneck area, this thing looks and feels like it was made for this marker. Was originally concerned about how far out the bolts for the arms were going to stick out, which gave me a neat idea for a punny name (Freak-y Frankenstien anyone?!? Put the tomatoes down…) but it’s just the right spacing. Included a few pics so everyone else can marvel at how dead on this is. Thanks again man!

That metal pump arm really does take the biscuits.

Yup, finally got out a file and a small coping saw to remove the offending plastic bits from the feedneck, and this feels awesome, much better balanced than before, it's snappy on the pump return, and the quick strip makes getting into the barrel to change inserts or whatever super fast. Thank you everyone for your contributions to making this marker something even more special than before. And happy holidays!
