Is a ICD B2k still viable?

So, I played a lot back in the day. Bought this, never used it, forgot about it, found it, and am curious if it still holds its own. GF was asking on reddit and seems there some nostalgia for it at least. They sent me here.

redsquirrel Thanks for the summoning! 😂

Op, they are not only viable, but they are honestly my preferred electro shooter. If your still running the stock board it's capped at like 22 BPS, so wayyyyy faster then today's 10.5, but you'll actually have to put the work in since there is no ramping.

It WILL need work at this age. At a minimum replace all the seals, be sure to use 90 durometer for the manifold in the 2k3/4s that use the Humphrey noids. ICD regs are also not great. I'd probably swap out the HPR at a minimum.

Be sure to check out my build thread here for extra tip and tricks:

I have felt for quite some time now that the Indian Creek Designs Bushmaster 2000 is the single most under valued marker that has ever graced the game. Yes they are old, and tired, and beat. They originally were released in the fall of 98, so that's to be expected on a 25 + year old marker, but they almost universally clean up

lhamilton1807 also just recently rebuilt a vision 2k4, there is some good into in there as well.

I got this B2K4 in a box of random paintball bits. Sold most of the rest (two ProFlex masks more than paid for all the parts for this project). Decided I wanted this B2K4 PDS for my collection. Condition/Notes: stock barrel included. A/C threads for this model - yay! no HPR or ASA included - I slapped a black Empire HPR on

Anything not covered between the two build threads, feel free to ask! These things were really built to last and hold up great if you sink enough love into them.

Seals were replaced about 3 years ago, never put air through it since. Probably dried by now right?

Probably. Also: do NOT use oil in these, it will swell the delrin bolt. Be sure to use lube only, I prefer suberlube multipurpose grease.

I think at this point the B2K is the official old school electro of MCB. Follow Myrkul advise. Rebuild it and paint faces.

Toss up between that and a Rainmaker.

Nice B2K! Did you get that from ansgear when they were having their super sale?

I have mine packed up for SuperGame and am excited to let her run. Aside from the eyes and hpr, your rebuild will be identical to mine. Vapor triggers may not be available anymore though - you’ll have to check their website.

I don't think you be winning any tournaments with it but she'll still sling paint on the rec ball fields. Definitely major cool points factor since all the markers are pretty similar form factor. You stand out quite a bit just running something with macroline nowadays

These markers are still viable. I played with my Sonic Bushy last fall at a charity game. EVERYONE oogled it, and of course I let everyone shoot it. It left a great impression.

I absolutely adore my Zenitram Y frame. Still hunting around for one of their 45 frames, or even better, a full Venom. I'll find one some day!
