    Vermont (VT)

Nish used to run our group, but just moved to SC. I'm hoping we can get some more VT players and looking for advice on recruiting.

    How we play
    - Woodsball with mixed pump/mech semi and a 1-hopper limit. Leaning towards limiting that to 50rnd gravity only hopper for affordability and to levelize play.
    - Teams are picked by drawing different colored paintballs from a hat and if we see a clear advantage on one side we'll switch teams.
    - We're very laid back and focused on enjoying the game rather than competing.
    - We're trying to foster the type of environment that will attract and retain new players. It's a great group to start with before trying a commercial field that might have a lot of high ball per second shooting.
    - We're happy to lend equipment to first time players.

    I've got 2 groups of players;
    - 1 in Addison and Washington counties
    - 1 in Lamoille county
I can't seem to get them together.

We've got fields in Barre, Bristol and possibly Morrisville.

    Away games
    - We've been trying to get up to Advance Paintball in North Troy VT for years.
    - We've played a few times at OSG Paintball in Barnstead NH
    - We used to go to Pumper's Pandemonium in New Milford PA and would be interested in doing it again.

Hi Buddy! Good to see you back on here.

Consistency is the key. Pick days that you are going to do it and stick to them no matter how many people show up. If only 2 or 3 people show up, hang out, have fun, work on the field and guns. Most of our problems with not having people show up started when we started cancelling games because of low turnout and people got it in there heads that they needed to make other plans because paintball was going to get cancelled.

Start talking about it now with your friends. We already did that one game this spring (Thank you guys so much for putting that together I needed it) and everyone had fun. People are itching to try something new or get back into something they used to do now that they see a light at the end of the covid tunnel.

I'd suggest keeping the limit at 1 hopper unless it becomes a problem. The more limiting the rules the harder I think it is to get people to try it out.

ALLWAYS, well at least after this year plan on hosting or going to a game in June. Toni and I will be up because of Norwich Residency Week she is required to be on campus.

Other games you should travel to: Splattttttts Memorial game, Slims Stock Class games and keep an eye on both OSG and AG, They host great games/events and some are usually pump.

So thought I would do a monthly listing of events that may find interest for some or all of this group of paint slingers and any folks who want to join in. The team is in contact but we may find new blood by posting up. April 10th or 11th a possible day to play May 1st and 2nd Pump Paintball event at Albany Paintball

Hey , I update this events thread on our team forum. We are stock class players but myself and everyone else on there plays with all types of gear. If your ever interested in joining us we attend a lot of events which are always a blast. I see your pretty far up north and I have been going to Vermont since a kid to camp fish whatever. So if you put up some dates and I can make it I’m down for some green mountain renegade play.
