Anyone gonna be playing in one of the paratrooper units? Heard it's a wild time, thinking about it.

So Warsaw seems to be the MCB side, is this the case? I plan on getting my registration done this week. Last year the nights were cold as F#$k so come prepared thankfully I camp in the back of my truck topper and had a heater but still was cold.

I'm checking with the PB Charleston Pump crowd to see who is interested this year.

Seems like it. I think Wade is doing AT for NATO, but otherwise looks like mostly Warsaw.

Gracious, it would be nice to be on the Warsaw side, I think every time I have been to Fulda I have been NATO.

I played Warsaw my first year, and NATO the 2nd. There seemed to be a decent contingent of MCB folks on each side both times.

I really wish I could go this year, but it looks like it will probably not work out.

Which Warsaw group are most of the MCB folks joining this year?

117th for me and my team. One of the only sections of the field that I hadn't started in, so it's time.

I'm signed up for 117th right now but I might be swapping to 120th.

Me and 3 others are considering going but still not 100%. If we do it will be very last minute lol. Definitely a game we want to make though.

Reporting in for the Warsaw 120th. 3rd time attending (first time back since 2018) so I'm looking forward to it! If you see a dude rocking the old JT sock hat, chances are it's me!

Is this game ran like D-Day, where it's actual units ands whatnot being directed by a commander?

Yes and no, there are elements of units and "responsibility" but never felt you are really pigeon holed by registration outside of what side you register for and maybe the "special units" and specific events those "special units" support during the game.

Yeah, what Grendel said. Generally, there are units with commanders and such, and there are objectives, and from what i've heard from guys that actually FOLLOW the commanders, they do a good job leading. My personal experience has been: I start out with my unit, get shot out in the first 30 minutes, go back to the re-spawn point, and then have a lot of trouble finding my unit the rest of the day, haha. At that point, I just find a group nearby and join in what they are doing. I'll hear periodically something like "They want us to push up the left here", or "We are all going to push right now and try to take this bunker... 3, 2, 1..."

I think you CAN be really involved in the strategy side of things if you want, and if you can stay with your unit. But you don't have to.
